  • A true "gem" in the redwoods

"Ths is a FABULOUS place to stay if you are exploring the "Lost Coast". It is conveniently located just down the road from Patrick's Point State Park. We did hiking there as well as at Trinidad Head. At the time of our stay, we were the only ones there and it was very peaceful and quiet. There is a small pond with water cascading down the rock feature, and the sounds of the running water added to the tranquility. The property was beautiful and the accommodations very comfortable. The bed is surrounded by wall on 3 sides which makes it very cozy, but if you are sharing the bed, be prepared to climb around/over your partner. The bed itself was very comfortable and reading lights above the headboard encourage snuggling up with a good book. We loved having the kitchen area and could do our own breakfast or have a nice glass of chilled wine in the evening. We were greeted upon arrival, shown the layout and standard "how things work". Our host, Marke, was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and had some great suggestions for dining. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Larruchin restaurant down the road. Bring a bottle of wine, a good book and enjoy your stay."

  • We Love Trinidad!

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed here a number of times and have always enjoyed it. However, this time there were a few bumps such as incorrect key code, and some issues with heating, but they where resolved, and the property managers where very apologetic and kind which counts for a lot. I would say there are a few upgrades needed, such as better quality TV/Dvd, an HDMI connection, some better cooking pans, curtains in the bedroom to block street lights and nightstands would be nice! A sign at Jacuzzi with some helpful tips would be nice too! We loved the gardens, plenty of towels, and helpful women with any issues regarding our stay. We always love being in the sweet village of Trinidad. Murphy's is great, Beachcomber is awesome and The Eatery and The Lighthouse Cafe (love the local emphasis!)are yummy, too of course. Love the ocean and beaches which we walked to, even with a young child. The remodeled art gallery is lovely, and is great to see the new one by the Post Office. So appreciate the support of local art. Thank you Trinidad!"

  • Great view and access to beach!

"The Crows Nest was the perfect place for our family of four. There was the restaurant down below, Trinidad State Beach, the Marine Laboratory, and the Lighthouse all within walking distance. Very clean rental with a well stocked kitchen. The hot tub and view alone would have pleased us, but the Crow's Nest just has everything you could wish for during a short vacation! Casey was very nice and I could tell that if there had been a problem, he would have helped us out. But of course, like I said, everything was perfect."

"Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cozy spot has the best view of the harbor, amazing night time stars and is just minutes from Trinidad proper. You can walk down a (steep) trail and be almost on your own at the beach. It is best for a couple as the second bed is in the loft and not too private. It is dated and has very noisy floors but well cared for. Kitchen was well equipped. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. Quiet although property on the upper hill is under construction/remodel so I'd check on the status of that project before booking. The constant nail gun our last morning was less than pleasant. We'd definitely book here again."
