"We really enjoyed staying at this home. It was perfect for our needs. We are a family of 4 with one small child. The house was safe and fun for all of us. the bright sunshine coming through the windows in the morning is great while eating breakfast and the location is central to downtown, old town, and the main mall area. We had so much fun riding our bikes around town while the boys went fishing on the Mad River. the amenities were great- enough pots and pans and dishes for large meals, small utensils and needs to cook full meals, beautiful glass dishes to make a fancy meal. Wifi was great, as well as the cable options and the surround sound for the DVD player. We really enjoyed the nice clean and warm hot tub and outdoor patio with little grill. I loved the old feeling of this Bungalow home- the hardwood floors and traditional décor was such a nice treat and break from our every day busy metro lives. Was also great to have a washer and dryer! I would totally stay here again. don't be fooled by the mediocre reviews. Yes, the street is busy, but the back yard is fenced and there is an alley way to park in with driveway so you don't have to park on the main road. A lot of busy streets in Eureka, it's just the way it is."

"This is was a New Year's three night stay with two other couples. It was like stepping into your own dream house
perched on a bluff overlooking the Pacific. All the comments you read on this property are true...so I won't repeat them again. We will be back! Thanks Ruth for offering such a wonderful experience. Warm Regards, Lawrence"

"This was our first visit to the Sea Ranch area, and it did not disappoint. From the moment we got up in the morning until the time we climbed into our very comfortable bed, this roomy, fully loaded, and well-decorated home provided everything from beautiful floor-to-ceiling views for relaxing to coastal hikes for exercise. Nature is literally right outside the door...racoons & deer are easily visible and sea lions are just a short walk away. Nearby restaurants offer fine dining or casual cafes. When we chose to stay in, it was an easy drive to the quaint town of Gualala for food, and the gourmet kitchen or barbecue supplied everything we needed for a home cooked meal. This is the ideal place to enjoy friends and decompress! Looking forward to a return trip!!"

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was very happy with the location.
I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
Private and cozy, Chapman Cottage is as lovely as the photos suggest, immaculately maintained, and close to Mendocino, trails, wildlife and more. Quality linens for the bed and bath. Highly recommended."
