  • Amazing Place

"Grandma's Spectacular Beach Cottage is a name well suited name for this home. Although the description and photo's of the Cottage were very representative on the website, our family was in awe of the beauty of this place! The views of the Pacific Ocean from the Cottage were spectacular! The Cottage had everything we needed, was very comfortable, and was clean and well maintained. The bedrooms were very cozy, and comfortable, and the sounds of the crashing waves were amazing upon going to sleep and waking up. We spent much time on the private beach, which is very close, just a few minute walk down from the Cottage. The wood burning stove was also a nice touch, and we spent every night huddled around the stove. We also spent time sea kayaking, touring nearby beaches and light houses, and dining in nearby towns. We saw a sea otter, seals, and other wildlife while walking on the beach, and the tide pools at low tide were also amazing to look at. We also found sand dollars along a stretch of the beach. There is a Laundromat in the nearby town of Anchor Bay. The owner was very helpful in answering all of our questions, and keeping us updated as we planned our trip. We would highly recommend the Cottage, and plan on returning to this amazing place!"

  • Incredible views!

"It's the most beautiful place we have ever been to on the coast. The views were absolutely amazing! It's very private and the view from the house and the deck is breathtaking. My sister flew from Europe for this trip and she said she has never seen such a gorgeous view and she traveled across the world. Thank you Judy for a wonderful stay!"

  • Dave and Charlene Second Year Rental

"This was our second year to rent this house and it was even better than the year before. The whole family had a great time and the back yard that looked off to the lake was great for my 2 year old granddaughter . The owner Dale was great and checked in with us to make sure we were comfortable . If you enjoy fishing and boating this location has everything to ask for. My husband caught a bass while there and Dale gave us a great recommendation for boat and jet ski rental that was very reasonable. We will be back again next year! Such a great house !"

  • Beautiful, cozy, upscale spot in the redwoods.

"This place was gorgeous! We have stayed at many VRBO properties, and this one was really furnished and cared for in a way that someone would do for themselves to use. They did not skimp on the quality of furnishings and there were lots of nice little touches, like fresh flowers and a bottle of wine. The kitchen is beautiful. Yes, the dishwasher, fridge, and range are "apartment" sized. This was a non issue for us, since my idea of a vacation does not include having to cook for myself! Sectional sofa is super comfy, I only wish I'd had a good place to set my wine glass (hubby had the seat next to the one end table!). The wifi was good. The bathroom is pretty small for two people to be in at one time, but the shower is nice and big! Overall this place feels like a really luxurious hotel suite, though I do agree that the sheets from the linen service were unexpectedly scratchy and not on par with everything else. But I thought the mattress was great! Best night's sleep I've had in months. Ceiling fans are a nice touch. We loved the location in the trees. I was skeptical during the drive through the neighborhood down the hill, but this place is set apart by itself and gorgeous. You will not regret staying here. It feels bigger than it looks on the photos, but it definitely is one big room except for the bathroom if that is an issue for you. The outside space in the back looked nice but we didn't use it. Loved the stemless wine glasses! Looking forward to coming back sometime and exploring Agate Beach at Patricks Point some more!"
