"We have been doing a multigenerational family vacation at Fort Bragg for about 20 years and stay in different houses. This was our 2nd time at Chateau Cleone. It was perfect. Tim and Kathy are easy to work with and everything was ready when we arrived. The house was very clean and comfortable for all of us. We enjoyed it's beauty and being so close to the ocean and exploring. The kitchen was well stocked and the barbecue was clean and waiting for us. The downstairs bathroom has a large walk in shower and a higher toilet. I especially love the cheerfulness of the yellow room. There were games provided and interesting books to read. The hot tub was heavenly among the redwood trees. We had lunch at the Mayan Infusion restaurant in Noyo Harbor. Yum! Right now our ages range from 6-75. The stairs were do-able for all of us. Each year we vote on where to go. Everyone voted on the Chateau Cleone for next year."

  • So very peaceful.

"I wasn't sure that an overnight would be enough to really relax...but it was. The combination of soaking in the hottub under the redwood trees just before bedtime and then again just before breakfast, and no internet or phone was the rest we needed! The kitchen had all the tools and utensils we needed for a delicious home cooked meal, and the couch was comfy and long enough for my exceptionally tall partner to stretch out on for a nap. My 12 year old loved the reading nook, and our dog loved the yard. We also found a really beautiful beach, I think it's called Cook's beach? a mile or two north of town, and had pretty decent BBQ in town. We will be back, hopefully for a longer stay next time!"

  • Delightful Home-Superb location

"We absolutely loved staying at The Bluffs! It was perfect for us in every way! We couldn't stop smiling when we arrived and saw the views, the impeccable design and cleanliness. The master bedroom is spacious and lovely. The bed is so comfortable...aaah! The owner has created a vacation home that is both cozy yet pristine and classy. The ocean views are fabulous! It is an ideal location, close to the bluff trail and easy to get to Gualala town. The owner, John went out of his way to accommodate us and facilitate our most wonderful stay. We hope to return to The Bluffs again and again. We couldn't have asked for a better Sea Ranch home to stay at. Thank you, John! We;ll be back!"

  • A true "gem" in the redwoods

"Ths is a FABULOUS place to stay if you are exploring the "Lost Coast". It is conveniently located just down the road from Patrick's Point State Park. We did hiking there as well as at Trinidad Head. At the time of our stay, we were the only ones there and it was very peaceful and quiet. There is a small pond with water cascading down the rock feature, and the sounds of the running water added to the tranquility. The property was beautiful and the accommodations very comfortable. The bed is surrounded by wall on 3 sides which makes it very cozy, but if you are sharing the bed, be prepared to climb around/over your partner. The bed itself was very comfortable and reading lights above the headboard encourage snuggling up with a good book. We loved having the kitchen area and could do our own breakfast or have a nice glass of chilled wine in the evening. We were greeted upon arrival, shown the layout and standard "how things work". Our host, Marke, was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and had some great suggestions for dining. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Larruchin restaurant down the road. Bring a bottle of wine, a good book and enjoy your stay."
