  • Comfortable Cottage in a Great Location

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in a great location; within site of the harbor and less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and the Trinidad Head loop trailhead. The house itself is clean and comfortable. The second floor stairs are steep and the floors creak and moan as you would expect in an older house. There are ants in the kitchen, but being right on the beach, it is to be expected. Just make sure to wipe up all your crumbs and keep food packages sealed. The hot tub was hot and clean. I noticed a guy came to check and add chemicals while we were there, so it’s good to know it’s maintained on a regular basis. Overall, we were pleased with the property and would stay again."

  • 40th Birthday

"AMAZING! Such a beautiful property to rent for a long weekend, and the owner Wendelain is even more amazing! As stated in previous reviews – pictures just do not do it justice. Arriving to the property at dusk, the fire already going, we called Wendelain and she met us right away to show us the ropes. Everything was clean and tidy, well stocked and we felt right at home. She provided us with some restaurants ideas and great wines we might be interested in…and we loved them both! There was plenty of room for all of us, the bedrooms are spacious, large dinning room table and the kitchen has everything you may need. From the outdoor fire pit with seating, to the large Jacuzzi and wonderful gardens with out door lighting….The ONLY thing you are left longing for…is MORE time here. We will definitely be coming back to visit the Redwood Manor! THANK YOU for sharing Wendelain"

  • What an incredible little cottage!

"I came to this little cottage on the coast for what I hoped would be a relaxing weekend, and I don't think I could have found a better spot! I'm already looking at my calendar to figure out when I can come back and bring my boyfriend because it would be perfect for a couple. Actually, I'd love to bring everyone I love to this place so they can experience the happiness I did while I stayed there. Having a solo weekend getaway was what I needed, and this place exceeded my expectations in a big way! I was comfortable and although I was alone this place didn't make me feel lonely. It's spacious, yet cozy, and it's pretty well equipped with most of what you'd need. The hot tub was divine, especially at night under the stars...or early morning you can watch the sunrise while relaxing in the hot tub. It was magical. There were a few minor things that I noticed and wanted to mention. The sheets and bedding had been washed in very heavy scented detergent, and it was a bit overwhelming. I'm sensitive to fragrance and have to admit it was hard to fall asleep because of the strong scent of the pillows and sheets. I'd suggest using detergent that is fragrance free for guests that have a sensitivity to that sort of thing. The other thing was the shower had a curtain only, but no inner plastic lining. So as I was showering I had to keep the actual curtain inside the shower because otherwise water was getting all over the floor...but in keeping the curtain inside the shower it was constantly sticking to me as I tried to shower. I'd recommend a simple, plastic shower liner so there's no water mess, the cute fish shower curtain doesn't get mold damage or ruined, and so guests can shower a little easier. These are merely suggestions, and not complaints. I had such a great time that these minor details weren't a biggie but I felt I should mention them anyway. All in all, I had a wonderful stay at Tom and Susan's ocean front cottage home. I want to thank them both for sharing this truly special place with me. Tom was very nice and I'm glad I was able to meet him right before I left. Unfortunately I was not able to meet Susan but hope to next time I stay. I met many locals and explored the surrounding area during me two night stay. The weather was absolutely perfect...in fact, it was even hot and it's October! I couldn't have asked for a better getaway and it was one of the best weekends of my life, and one I will never forget!"

  • Stay Here With Dear Friends, Bring Great Food & Wine, You Will Have A Time You Love to Remember.

"We were invited to a 50th birthday celebration at this house, we loved the place so much we rented it for five days for a 40th birthday celebration two months later. One of the people who came with us on the second trip told her father about it and he is going to rent it. We were lucky to see the house in two different temperatures. One, hot, wearing shorts and t-shirts with all the windows open and the other time it was cool and we had the fire place going, both times were simply magnificent in their own way. We are definitely going back. The view is amazing! Sitting, watching the sunset on the couch, by the fire, or out on the deck. (writing this makes me want to go back there right now) Having the fully stocked kitchen was perfect. We cooked all our meals at the house. We love the private beach access. The drift wood sculptures are very creative and the beach is just beautiful. The hot tub was the best at night with the stars and the sound of the crashing waves. Bonnie is a pleasure to work with. Everything was as she said it would be. I really like her attention to detail, It helps make for a stress free trip. I love, love, love, this place and can't wait to go back!"
