  • So very peaceful.

"I wasn't sure that an overnight would be enough to really relax...but it was. The combination of soaking in the hottub under the redwood trees just before bedtime and then again just before breakfast, and no internet or phone was the rest we needed! The kitchen had all the tools and utensils we needed for a delicious home cooked meal, and the couch was comfy and long enough for my exceptionally tall partner to stretch out on for a nap. My 12 year old loved the reading nook, and our dog loved the yard. We also found a really beautiful beach, I think it's called Cook's beach? a mile or two north of town, and had pretty decent BBQ in town. We will be back, hopefully for a longer stay next time!"

  • Weekend in the Woods

"We had a great time at the Rustic Retreat for Spring Break. Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there but we still tried to enjoy the outdoors. The Redwood forest is only 10 min down the road and was nice to hike through. The river is just down the hill from the cabin and my son enjoyed throwing rocks in the water and exploring. Be prepared for absolutely no cell service. The Wifi and cabin phone were down while we were there so that made it difficult. We were prepared to be secluded but I was hoping for some connection just for safety's sake. The cabin is just right for 2-3 people. It has everything you need for a quiet little getaway. Towels and robes are provided for the hot tub. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. And the heaters worked well in both rooms. The whole property is beautiful and welcoming. Felt like our own little resort. If you choose to drive in be prepared and comfortable with gravel terrain. I would definitely suggest having a truck. We did it twice (once to unload and once to reload). Other than that we just parked and walked across the bridge. Directions are as clear as they can be but you have to be ready for an adventure. All in all we had a great time and would definitely return!"

  • Ft. Bragg ocean view is fantastic!

"The Point Liberty vacation rental turned out to be everything as advertised, plus more. You will be hard pressed to find a property with such outstanding proximity to the ocean and 180 degree view. The home was equipped with nearly everything you would need to have an extremely comfortable and enjoyable stay. Fishing off the rocks turned out to be pretty decent, too. We caught several Kelp & Rock Greenling and Striped Surf Perch right off the rocks. The proximity to FT. Bragg is also a plus if you need necessities or just want to go in to town for other shopping, lunch or dinner."

  • Trinidad Gem

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First time to the Redwood Coast and considered ourselves fortunate to have decided to stay in Trinidad, what we now consider the best location in the area (easy access to beach trails, adequate restaurant and food options, and short drives to many outstanding additional attractions, beaches, etc). The Whalesong was perfect for our family of four with plenty of room for everyone to spread (in or out) but also spend cozy time together eating, playing games, and watching movies. This house built in the early 70's so don't expect perfection (although the house and gardens are clearly very well maintained), but do expect charm. House could easily accommodate more than 4, but single small shower might be a challenge for larger groups. Kitchen is well stocked and rest of house has just about everything you'll need for a comfortable stay."
