"We have been doing a multigenerational family vacation at Fort Bragg for about 20 years and stay in different houses. This was our 2nd time at Chateau Cleone. It was perfect. Tim and Kathy are easy to work with and everything was ready when we arrived. The house was very clean and comfortable for all of us. We enjoyed it's beauty and being so close to the ocean and exploring. The kitchen was well stocked and the barbecue was clean and waiting for us. The downstairs bathroom has a large walk in shower and a higher toilet. I especially love the cheerfulness of the yellow room. There were games provided and interesting books to read. The hot tub was heavenly among the redwood trees. We had lunch at the Mayan Infusion restaurant in Noyo Harbor. Yum! Right now our ages range from 6-75. The stairs were do-able for all of us. Each year we vote on where to go. Everyone voted on the Chateau Cleone for next year."

"Rating Details: I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was more than happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was adequately helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I had a great time here. We went down to the beach, watched the sunset. The deer in the yard were a delight. The home was cute and comfortable. Hot tub was nice and hot. Kitchen utensils need to be updated, all kitchen drawers need to be cleaned out. There were mouse droppings in them. Manager responded on 4/1/2015: Hi Mrs. Garcia, Thank you for taking the time to provide valuable feedback to the Carter home owners. We look forward to your next visit. Happy Days, Kim"

  • Perfect for Get-a-Way with Children and Friends

"We really appreciated the cleanliness and the location so near the beach. The beds were VERY comfortable, and the sheets were soft. This home has plenty of towels and all the cookware you would need. There is even a gas stove/oven. There are also plenty of board games available. We played hours of RISK. We also hiked in the redwoods and Fern Canyon (a must see for any hiker!). Just up the road is a viewing area for the spectacular sunsets. If you are looking for a clean, affordable place at the beach, this is it."

  • wonderful house

"This house was great for my family of 5 and my sisters family of 6. Plenty of space and enough beds with the 2 air mattresses, although one did have a hole in it. Not a problem with small children. The kitchen is very large with plenty of prep space and cupboards for groceries. Living area is very nice. Bedrooms are perfect and 2 baths were fine if you did some bathing at night. Short walk to the beach and drive to the trees made this vacation a treat. Everything you need but bring your own bath and laundry soaps. Rental process was very easy. We definitely would stay again!"
