"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was great. House was big enough that in the rain, no one was on top of the other. Great there was a TV in the back bedroom so one could watch TV without disturbing the others. Hot tub could use some stairs to make it easier to get into the water. Strange that no kleenex is included in the house set up. Kitchen supplies adequate, but I have to bring some additional platters to fit a turkey. Frying pans are worn out so I bring my own. Sauce pan was warped. Burner was slow to heat water to boiling, but new stove was better than the one before that only some burners worked. Some upgrades in bedroom furnishings, but the chair was removed from the queen bedroom where the bed was too high for an elderly person to sit on to dress. Manager responded on 12/3/2014: Hi Mr. Neft, It is always so nice to see you and your family over the Thanksgiving holiday. Thank you for taking the time to leave some renter feedback on the Sea B's home. I will be sure to pass along your comments and concerns to the new Sea B's Owners. Until next year. . . . . .best regards, Kim"

  • Independence Day weekend

"We loved this property. We went over for the long 4th of July weekend and had a fantastic time. The photos are perfectly indicative of what you get when you stay in this home. The house is centrally located and easy to walk to everything. We can't comment on the restaurants, as we did not go out to eat the whole time. I read a poor review just a couple of weeks before we went. I was a little nervous to see what was going to happen. When we arrived I was very happy with what we saw. I won't speculate as to the circumstances that Bill references in his review, but I will say that if his review was accurate, the issues he cites have been addressed and rectified (with the exception of the leaking drain from the deck into the garage. This however, was no real problem as we did not even know it was an issue until the last day as we were cleaning up and noticed it on our final walk-through). Bill also mentions that the home is for sale. I'm not sure why this is listed as a downside. It did indeed have a for sale sign in the yard, but so what. We have two young children and found that the stairs were no problem for them. There really are not that many stairs to deal with. We give the property five stars and would love to stay there again. It seems unlikely that we will be able to because our schedules are very tight and don't allow us to go the coast as much as we would like, but we would jump at the chance to stay there again."

  • Perfect place to see the redwoods

"Beautiful, well maintained house in a spectacular setting. Our family of 3 generations stopped here on an extensive tour of the west coast. We were happy to see the personalized welcome sign in the driveway after an all-day drive. We found the house to be very clean and the owner was right next door to answer questions. We did all our "redwood spotting" from the house as a base for a couple of days before continuing on south. We would highly recommend this house and stay there again if we return to the area."

  • Very enjoyable experience

"We stayed at Playa Linda recently for Thanksgiving week. What I really appreciated was the extra service provided by the owners, and the overall cleanliness and the extremely well stocked kitchen. Even had some spices and basic condiments available. Having to buy pepper and salt, cook with 2-3 basic pans and most of all having to CLEAN the home after staying have always been sore spots for me; HERE none of that is true. I even emailed the owner Linda and asked about their wine cooler. She said help yourself. Some of the wines have their own name on the bottles, and I understand they were very enjoyable (I don't drink). The one downstairs bedroom does receive noise from the bedroom directly above it, as there is NO insulation under the floor of the upstairs bedroom. That would be the only thing I would criticize. It might be worth fixing. I really appreciated the accommodating welcoming spirit of the home and it's owners. To those who would take issue with small things, I would suggest trying a stay in one of the homes offered by some of the biggest agencies at Sea Ranch. When you can't do basic cooking and have to do your own maid service before you leave you will appreciate an owner who bothers to stock their kitchen (with wine even) and has a cleaning service hired for you as part of the rental. Nice views from most rooms. There is a fireplace in the main living area facing the ocean, so if you must have a full on panoramic view of the ocean you might look elsewhere. I found there was plenty of open window views of the ocean and meadows. It was quite refreshing and peaceful, as Sea Ranch is meant to be. BTW it is also quite close to Gualala for those quick shopping trips. The outdoor area is well fenced for security for smaller children. We found the media to work fine. My bed was extremely comfortable (downstairs). It felt like the others were comfortable and well stocked with linens and warm comforters. There is a telescope in the loft on the mezzanine. Don't know about a Girls getaway. I'm not a girl (woman). Seems like it would be well appointed for that purpose. If you didn't have a car, you would have to find a way to get to town or be sure to bring your own groceries when you arrive. If you wanted to bike to town it would be close enough to do that. Lots of nice walks through the meadow and close to the beach and bluff walks."
