  • Wonderful Property!!

"Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids, 16, 14 and 6 years old) stayed here 4/11/15 through 4/17/15. The condo was exactly as described in the pictures/write up. It was clean and spacious and had all the equipment I needed in the kitchen for cooking. The spas and pool were wonderful and the walk to the beach was delightful. We went to Disneyland 3 of the days and the driving from here was fine, we were never stuck in traffic and the drive time was about 40 minutes. Great restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The price and value for money is exceptional when you compare it to staying at a motel in a Disney Resort! Alex was quick to respond to all of my emails, thanks for a great stay :)!"

  • BEST Vacation Rental EVER!!

"This was our first all family Trip to California. While we were in California 10 days we only got to spend 4 days in Dana Point. We all hated to leave Villa Tortuga! The condo was absolutely beautiful and it was in the perfect location. We couldn't believe all of the ammenities- top notch, and Gus has thought of everything! (I really mean EVERYTHING! I expected things like beach towels and some equipment; but first aid kit, binoculars, pantry items? WOW!) We had breakfast on the airy deck and dinner in the spacious dining area. WiFi worked well and there were plenty of DVDs as well as books and magazines. Gus has all the information you need printed up and well organized. The beach is wonderful and just a short walk (or taxi ride) to the Ritz Carlton, where we attended a wedding. The location is also very close to the harbor and the Ocean Institute. We got to see some of the tall ships while we attended a reception there. Maybe I shouldn't say so many good things about this condo-- it might not be available next time we want to stay in Dana Point. Exceptional place, Gus. You really have a winner in Villa Tortuga."

  • Most Fabulous Wedding Weekend

"We rented the 8 bedroom beach house for my son's wedding which was up the hill at the Palisades Gazebo Park. Both families were able to get to know each other in the most fabulous setting ever! We spent many of our meals outside on the patios, cool, rainy weather and all! On the wedding day, it rained all day but stopped right around the ceremony time! The bride got beautiful pictures getting ready in front of the 3rd story bedroom windows. The bride and groom were able to take the most breath-taking, cloudy, sunset wedding pictures ever! The next day was beautiful and sunny was able to fly kites and use the boogie and skim boards. The beach in front of the house was fairly secluded and did not have beach crowds. The house was clean and many cooking utensils, so all was needed was a quick trip to grocery store. I have got to get me one of these! Best beach wedding ever!"

"This property fit our needs perfectly. Location, location, location. From this condo we walked to the harbor on a daily basis. (The Science Center at the far end of the harbor is a must.) Each evening we watched the sun set over the harbor from two of many overlooks, both within a block from the condo. The opportunity to surf, run or walk along Strands and Salt Creek beaches is more than handy . Many morning runs took us through the sandy path of the protected area to Strands and then on to Salt Creek beaches. Restaurants in the area are abundant. Take your pick. We were lucky enough to be there during the Dana Point Grand Prix bike race. Great event. Again, we needed no car. If you choose to drive to find adventure, the choices are abundant. Far too many to mention. The "things to do and see" portion of the booklet in the condo gave us many ideas. This is definitely a 5 star choice for a home away from home."
