  • A Hidden Gem !

"This is our second time in Huntington Beach. With all the development in downtown HB, it was a pleasant surprise to find such a charming cottage surrounded by the flower garden. The cottage is well furnished and located in a very good location, close to beach and downtown but far enough from the tourist crowd. Love it!"

  • Great Christmas week at the beach!

"This was such a great experience! The house was everything that we hoped and the fantastic weather made it that much more wonderful! Donna and Steve have a lovely home and have made it so nice for visitors. The beds were so comfortable and the patios were very enjoyable in the evenings. We played cards on the back patio and drank wine and visited on the front patio with a nice warm fire. The house is very well stocked and had every item we needed. It was just the BEST! My sister and I are already wanting to plan our return trip! Donna and Steve also left very good instructions on how to operate everything . It is very homey and so much better than a hotel. It also is located close to all of the places we wanted to visit. It was only a 30 to 45 min drive from anywhere we wanted to see. The best part was downtown Huntington Beach. We ate at several different restaurants and they were all good. Shopping was fun and the beach and pier were too. It was interesting to watch all of the surfers. Anyone who stays here would be very happy and it is money well spent. Happy New Year."

  • Great place for beach and SoCal, well-stocked, clean

"We stayed for half a month and it was a very pleasant stay. We're a family of four (with 2 kids, aged 6 and 3). We were using the house a base to visit family, friends, and sites in southern California. The place had everything we look for in a rental home. It was clean, tidy, and child-safe. For trips to the beach, there were plenty of towels, boogie boards, and sand toys, and even a big red wagon to transport them all in. We liked the area -- there are plenty of food options, and it's only two miles away from a Trader Joe's grocery store. There are a couple of parks with playgrounds within walking distance. And the Tuesday night 'Surf City Nights' on Main Street with food vendors, entertainment, and games for kids was really cool. We've stayed at VRBOs before and this was among the best. The owners had a little notebook that described where things were in the house and what was in the area. The house came well stocked (if you've stayed in VRBO's before you know this often is not the case): there was handsoap, dish detergent, shower supplies, things for kids to play with like crayons and games. There were kitchen staple items beyond just dishes, like bakeware, sugar, plastic bags, aluminum foil, and plastic containers for leftovers. Both bedrooms had ceiling fans. There was lots of space in the closets, lots of extra pillows, blankets and sheets. We drove around SoCal extensively, and it was nice to have a garage to come home to when there wasn't any nearby street parking available. The owners were responsive: we saw that there were wasps in the umbrella in the backyard, but the owners took care of it right away. Couple of cons: For those with small children or limited mobility, you should know that the living room in the 'back' of the house (three rooms in) is two steps down. Also, all the pots and pans were teflon and some were scratched. If people have a preference to not cook with teflon, you don't have a choice. But the pros far outweigh the cons. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and relatives."

  • Comfort in Huntington Beach

"Have stayed in several VRBO in HB before. This location was both comfortable, quiet, and convenient. Sit & Stay Cafe just 2 blocks away for coffee, hot chocolate, bagel, breakfast muffins, etc.. And Chronic Tacos on the same corner. All walking distance. Great place to ride the bikes as well. Comforts of home. Will be back!"
