  • Fabulous Home, Perfect Location

"This is a really lovely home. The top floor of the home is the accommodation. The well decorated and luxuriously appointed sitting room/dining/kitchen are tastefully furnished with quality fittings and a lovely open fire. The bedrooms are spacious, with very comfortable beds - all beautifully decorated and very clean. The bathrooms are spacious and have top quality fittings. There is a large clean garage. Outside the front veranda is a lovely quiet place to sit. The home is about 4 houses from the beach and 1 minute walk to the ferry. Our family of 7 stayed for 3 weeks, and could not have been happier or more comfortable. The home is very is clean and very well cared for. It's on the quiet end of the island and it's peaceful, there's literally no noise after 9pm. Steve the owner is a joy to deal with. Prompt, honest, courteous and thoughtful. We needed a little extra attention with our arrival and Steve was quick to help us, when others weren't. We will definitely return."

  • Beach Cottage

"We enjoyed the perfect sized small cottage (downstairs unit) to kick off our summer. Very relaxing. Near the marina sand."

  • Great Beach front get-away!

"Spent my birthday weekend with my family at this beachfront rental (2 adults and 4 older kids) . We live about 25 minutes away but it was great to have the whole family at the beach for a few days without the household distractions. Peaceful beach, yet vibrant community. I loved being by 15th street. We stayed in the lower unit. It was cozy but totally adequate for our family. The downstairs unit has a small narrow porch and is 4 steps from the sand. The Stuffed Surfer Cafe is walking distance so if you don't want to cook there is breakfast and lunch easily available- and its good. Also, both piers are walking distance from this location, as is the Spaghetti Factory and Crab Cooker. The upper unit, which we were able to see, is newly renovated and very nice. The downstairs unit is not as updated but for a family at the beach for a weekend we had all we needed. The kitchen was equipped with the basic supplies. The unit included a garage parking spot which in Newport is a plus. The manager TC was very helpful and responsive before, during, and after. I would love to stay at this villa again. The best part about this unit is the location."

  • Spectacular

"From my first contact with the owner, she was most kind and accommodating. As others have written, she was available at all times and didn't hesitate to help or make suggestions. The cottage is spectacular.... MUCH more than the photos show. Comfortable times ten. Beautifully decorated. In a perfect location. As someone who likes to cook, I remarked several times about how well the kitchen was equipped. I have a vrbo-listed home and THIS is the kind of review i want to read. And this is well deserved. You cannot go wrong spending a week or longer here.... I had never been to Balboa but quickly made friends. Most of all, enjoyed relaxing in this fabulous cottage. I live on an island in the Caribbean so it takes a lot to impress me... and this cottage and the people here certainly did. Thank you so much, K."

Balboa Island Travel Tips

Relax With Balboa Vacation Rentals

Your vacation in Balboa, California will be full of entertainment. Visit historic landmarks such as the Balboa Pavilion as well as California's oldest and largest coastal amusement area, the Balboa Fun Zone, where there's plenty to see and do. Plus, with its near perfect weather, you'll have opportunities to relax in the sun near Balboa vacation rentals.

Enjoy the Beach From Your Balboa Vacation Home

Balboa lodging is the perfect way to get to know the island, but you won't want to be stuck inside. Balboa has one of the top 10 beaches in the U.S., according to the Travel Channel, making it ideal for aquatic activities. There are plenty of great surf spots, but if you want a more relaxing day at the beach, explore secluded coves, the stunning scenery, or take in a breathtaking sunset.

Explore Newport From Your Balboa Vacation Rental

Of course, the city of Balboa is part of Newport Beach, and there's plenty to see and do here. Newport Harbor is one of the most scenic harbours in the world. Its calm waters are perfect for kids. Want something other than a day at the beach? You'll be excited by the numerous fishing trips offered at the Newport Aquatic Centre. You can also go rowing, canoeing, and kayaking.

There's no shortage of activities near the Newport Beach vacation homes that are available for your next trip. The historical Adams Sea Fort offers an impressive glimpse of America's past. It's set in the Fort Adams State Park, which often features local jazz and folk festivals. The Newport Mansions, built by 19th century bankers, are a neat sight where you can see the great wealth of pre-income tax America. Balboa vacation rentals are surrounded by sights and attractions, from the fantastic beaches of Newport to the island's own history.
