  • A MUST STAY home

"Sorry for the delay in writing this review. We stayed during my boys spring break. You are so close to the Wedge (1 block). Loved that this home is in a quiet neighborhood. Closer to the pier it can get really congested and noisy. I would recommend getting a golf cart for your stay. Easy to park in the garage and great for running up to the store. Loved sitting out on the very private patio with the fire pit. We will definitely be back!"

  • Beach House

"We loved it! Great location! So close to the beach! Within walking distance to grocery store, restaurants, gift shops, coffee shops, and yes--a 24 hour doughnut shop! We loved walking out onto the pier every morning and seeing the sea lions. We were also lucky enough to see dolphins and even whales! We also enjoyed going for bike rides every day and just enjoying the sounds and scenery! This is such a friendly, laid back, fun place. We would definitely recommend this fun beach house! We also enjoyed the pictures and history of this house!"

  • Location, Parking, Beach!!

"What an absolutely perfect spot on the beach - you can't get any better. Huge beach, wake up to surfers and sound of the ocean - not crowded during March spring break. And being one house off of the bike/walking path is huge for privacy/noise. We had a 4 and 5 yr old with us and while the walk was a bit far to the Newport Pier (but we still did it), we had easy walks to eat out near the Pavilion grocery store and gelato! House itself had plenty of extra sheets, (beach) towels, plastic ware, etc. Nice to have private parking on site and would be ideal to store bikes. Main bath with shower will need a remodel at some point to match the rest of the house but overall great space for 4 days, even for a family of 4! I would recommend investing in new beds in the near future as well. Owners are low key and friendly and provided some Keurig coffees, fresh pastries and every recommendation was spot on! Would recommend and would definitely stay here again:)"

  • Amazing location

"We had two moms and 3 teen daughters for spring break and it was a slice of heaven. Janice and Bill were there to greet us in the beautifully decorated and spotless beach house. The location was perfect for walking everywhere we needed to go and there are great waves for swimming and surfing steps away. We would highly recommend The Sandcastle to all ages. We will be back for sure:) Wendy Vesling"
