"We were pleasantly surprised at the actual location. It is located in an upscale residential neighborhood at the end of the Balboa peninsula and exactly as advertised. The house is reasonably well equipped to cook and to accommodate beach going and relaxation, especially nice to have the garage to park. The beach at the wedge and the bay are within one hundred yards depending upon which way you walk. We actually rode the bikes provided to Balboa Island and up the peninsula as well as walked the boardwalk from end to end. Lounged on the beach and ate fabulous food at The Dock and good old chili cheese omelets at Charlie's Chili, where I used to eat as a kid. This place is close enough to get to the action by bike or car, even walking, and far enough to be quite and relaxing away from the crowds. The one caveat being the remodeling construction in the area; however, the contractors seemed to follow the hours of work which limited the noise. everything we needed was available and in good condition. Debi, thank you for the stay and your understanding, we truly appreciated your hospitality and would definitely return. B&M"

"This Corona Del Mar rental is a gem! The owner is great — very communicative and flexible with check-ins and payment. The home is large, nicely outfitted and very comfortable. The 3rd bedroom is an office on the first level with a daybed — we used it as an office during our 4 week stay, it was perfect.
It's an easy walk to the Coast Highway where you'll find plenty to eat (cold-press juice shops on every corner, it seems) and the swankiest movie theater ever. Parking in the back was very convenient (although there was always street parking available). Some evenings we would walk with our kids to Lookout Point and watch the sun set with a picnic meal. Magical! Although the beach is walkable, there are steep-ish steps and so it's not ideal if you're carrying too much or with small children. However, it was super easy to drive and park there ($1.50/hour) AND if you patronize the Tackle Box restaurant they give you 2 hours of free parking anyhow! We would stay here, again and again and again if Robert will have us back!
p.s. There is a cute playground a mere 3 blocks away that we only discovered toward the end of our stay!"

"This was the first year we rented this beach house. It's a beautiful second story house with lots of sunlight. Everything you need in a great location. It's just few blocks from the Ocean through the ferry ride. The Marine, the main street, is a beautiful walk and there are many places for breakfast and quick meals so no need to deal with the crowds and parking. The Bay is less than a block away from the house and we enjoyed the morning jogging and the evening walk around the island.
Owner has 2 Kaiaks and my College Son and Daughter and my 10 Years young son had enjoyed them very much.
property was very clean and we will be back for sure."
