"What a vacation -- what a house --- right on the beach - first floor is key. Coffee on the patio while people watching. Cocktails and sunset all from the patio as you sit on the beach. Whale watching, Dolphins all from the patio just a bonus. House is clean with all amenities. Lawn chairs provided and are key for the beach. Bikes, boogie boards and parking. Location location location. When not onthebeach you can walk to town and frequent a dozen different shops and/or restaraunts. Don't ever need to leave -unless of course for day trips. So close to John Wayne airport. Owner met us while we arrived to show place and amenities. We were able to occupy earlier since we had an early flight. Working grill, washer/dryer can't say enough ---- we want to come back again and soon. Quite spectacular ! And as the daughter of a realtor------ it's all about location location location"

  • Perfect rental home

"This was an adorable rental. So clean and a ton of clean towels! The decor is just amazing. Such attention to detail and the master bath is beautiful. I hope we can find time to stay here again next year. The location is great, right by the Balboa Fun Zone close enough to bike to the Newport pier or walk to the Balboa pier. Saturdays and Sundays are busy in the area so plan to either park and leave your car on the street for the weekend or insure you have a small enough car to get in and out of the garage. Finding street parking on the weekend can be a challenge. The only draw back to the property is it is a very open floor plan so only 1 room gives you complete privacy (this did not bother us). The upstairs room each have a staircase to the downstairs and are connected by an enclosed outdoor deck so thru traffic to and from the outdoor deck has to walk thru the upstairs bedroom. We found this rental an ideal size for our group (me, my husband, my Mom and 3 kids; 16, 15, 4) Our kids loved the enclosed deck area to hang out and they had the entire top floor to themselves. There are a number of stairs in the rental so I would not recommend this for folks with younger children (but the downstairs unit would likely be great for toddlers)"

  • The house was perfect in every single way! It was even more beautiful than the photo.

"This house is pure luxury. We had such a fabulous time and the owner and property manager thought of pretty much everything to make our stay perfect. It was fully equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms. There was also a ton of closet space for our clothes and suitcases. The house also included the use of four really nice bikes, beach chairs, beach toys, kayaks, etc. We went to Disneyland one day but decided to forgo the second day because we preferred to hang out at the house because it was so awesome. This was actually the kids’ idea. The house sits in a prime location right at the water’s edge. The kids played pool, or with beach toys by the water when the tide was low, while the adults enjoyed the absolutely amazing view. We took out the Duffey boat several times during our stay and enjoyed the sightseeing. We LOVED having use of the Duffy. And it was easy to find the house when we headed back because it really is the tallest house on the peninsula. All the balconies were really nice too. We ate pretty much all our meals outside. There are also a lot of great restaurants close by. Every detail of the house was awesome. The beds were super comfortable too and so was the bedding. We loved the cool Spanish tiled showers and bathtubs too. Our kids enjoyed the huge jacuzzi tub as much as I did. We live in the San Francisco Bay Area and rent a lot of houses on the west coast through VRBO and this one was by far our favorite. We really appreciated that the property manager, Lauren, was responsive and very nice from beginning to end. She gave us a thourough tour of the house when we first arrived, which included showing us how to use the elevator and boat. We texted her with a question during our stay and she texted right back. In all honesty, this house was absolutely perfect and we definitely plan to rent it again. (BTW, we rented the house in mid-October and the weather was gorgeous.)"

"Overall we were pleased the place was as advertised. The location was right where we wanted to be and u could see the and from the patio. The only negative was some discourteous upstairs tenants that were loud and late every night, and the sound comes through loudly."
