"I've stayed in Newport Beach many times over the course of my life and this was one of the nicest properties I've ever stayed at. Clean, updated, comfortable, and all the basics are provided for you. At other properties in the past, we've had to provide our own bedding (sheets and pillows!) bring beach towels, pack or buy beach chairs, and rent bikes. This is ALL provided for you at this property and makes packing for your trip so much easier and less stressful.
Kirsten was wonderful to work with, emailed several times to make sure we would have everything we needed for our stay, and was prompt in responding with any questions that I had.
Location was perfect! A very short block and a half walk to the beach, a couple blocks from a nice grocery store, and also walking distance to several restaurants and cute little souvenir shops. Fashion Island (a big outdoor mall with tons of stores and restaurants) was only a short drive away. Laguna Beach is also a fun spot to visit and a short drive from the property.
The beach itself is one of the best beaches on the west coast. The sand is amazingly soft and they keep the beaches clean. We saw Dolphins out swimming every day we were there. Although I was there for a girl's weekend with a friend (which was absolutely heavenly), I couldn't help but think of how much my 5 and 3 year-old boys would love this beach!! There's a rock pier where little crabs hide, early in the mornings when the tide is low you can gather all kinds of neat seashells, and the beach is so nice, you can lay on your towels and the kids can play and build sand castles along the edge of the water--SO fun. Also great little waves for boogie boarding and saw its of surfers out in the morning hours.
Basically 4 days here with my best friend was heaven on earth and I hope to be back sooner rather than later! Maybe with my kids next time."

"I just returned from a 2 week stay. I didn't want to leave this darling cottage! The new pergola on the patio adds a secluded place to spend afternoons with a good book or glass of wine. Loved the closeness to Seal Beach and the Pier. A 4 minute walk took me to the charming downtown which is complete with shopping, casual dining and great coffee shops. The friendly residents greet everyone on the street and I chatted with many of them! I loved walking everywhere, including to the midtown green park with benches and a picnic area. The beach bicycle was great for long and short rides as well which was challenging at first ;-)) ! There are beach chairs, umbrellas and kites included. Friends visited me from the "desert" (Palm Springs and Indio). They all fell in love with the town and plan on returning to vacation. I hope to return to this special cottage soon!"
