  • Ideal for our Scottish/New Zealand family reunion

"San Clemente chosen as half way point for family reunion. Four from New Zealand and 8 from Scotland. We could not have chosen a more perfect house which was big enough for us all and with four children in our party, plenty room inside and out. The house was spotless, well equipped and maintained. San Clemente itself is a beautiful and friendly place. Ideally located for our trips to Disneyland, SeaWorld and the Ocean Institute at Dana Point for whale watching. Well worth a trip. Truly a holiday to remember. Thank you."

  • San Clemente - Great Place to Stay

"We stayed in this beautiful condo for 6 days and 5 nights. It turned out to be the perfect place for us to stay. The pictures accurately reflect what the condo looks like. Everything was clean and in working order. We chose not to cook, but we could have easily done so since the kitchen was well stocked with cooking and eating utensils. The condo was very comfortable and we felt very safe. A big plus was the reserved parking space in the underground garage! Parking is difficult in this area, but we never had to worry since we knew we had our assigned parking space waiting for us when we returned from our outings! We walked on the beach everyday and there are stairs leading from the small park next door down to the beach. We also enjoyed just sitting on the patio in the early morning and evening enjoying the beautiful ocean view. The grocery store was close by as well as good restaurants and local shops. Our favorite restaurant was The Fisherman Restaurant on the pier. They actually have two restaurants....a casual one that does a great happy hour (M-F), and the other one with a more extensive menu. They seafood is fantastic and their portions are very generous! We recommend going to Dana Point Harbor which is just a few miles north of San Clemente. There are some good restaurants there and you can take whale & dolphin watching boat trips. We spent the better part of the day at Dana Point Harbor.....went on a boat trip and saw LOTS of dolphins and then enjoyed a wonderful meal afterwards. Overall, we had a wonderful trip and were extremely happy with our accommodations. Eileen & Mike, the owners, were very helpful about recommending places to go. They were also very easy to work with on the rental. They had a welcome gift of fresh grapefruit and oranges from their own grove. We certainly enjoyed the fruit with our breakfast every morning!"

  • Family Vacation in San Clemente

"We rented this wonderful house for over a month and were so pleased with the property. It was exactly as shown: extremely nice and very comfortable. We had everything we needed and the owners were readily available to help with any questions or requests we had. It is an excellent location to easily access the beach, downtown, and best of all, our grandchildren! We plan to make this an annual event."

  • Everything you want in a beach house

"This was our second time staying in Kristine's home in San Clemente, and I highly recommend it! The house is large enough for our family of growing teenagers (4 of them) to spread out and yet it lends itself to family togetherness with the pool table, ping pong table, back yard area for outdoor meals and jacuzzi for the few days the kids were chilled after a sunset swim. The back yard area is wonderful for grilling every night and eating meals outdoors in the perfect San Clemente weather. We have a cajun grill and like to use lump wood charcoal for our bbq's at home, but we have to say we love the gas grill at this house for feeding the hungry family quickly! The older I get, the pickier I am about beds and these beds are comfortable. There are ample pillows, and all rooms have a fan, which is all you need at night. The best thing about this home: you can walk to the T Street beach access. This frees up the older kids to explore on their own. For us, for example: my daughter runs, so it was perfect for her to be able to walk down and run on the beach; I wake up early, so I get to have my early morning walks on the beach; my husband and sons walked to the pier several times to do some night fishing and caught some mackerel; we had a night bonfire on the beach at T-street; and, my youngest daughter and I walked to the pier to have some lunch while the others used the rental car to explore the area. (The walk is a steep hill, so for those that have knee/hip problems like my Mom, you'd probably need to drive down and park near the beach.) Lastly, as mentioned in other reviews, you have all of the beach equipment that you could possibly need: numerous beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas, towels, and, for kids, there are very good boogie boards (not the cheap ones) and even a surf board. For those of us that fly into CA, this is a huge bonus! The owner is a pleasure to work with, so I can't imagine what else you'd need for a perfect beach vacation!"
