  • San Clemente - Great Place to Stay

"We stayed in this beautiful condo for 6 days and 5 nights. It turned out to be the perfect place for us to stay. The pictures accurately reflect what the condo looks like. Everything was clean and in working order. We chose not to cook, but we could have easily done so since the kitchen was well stocked with cooking and eating utensils. The condo was very comfortable and we felt very safe. A big plus was the reserved parking space in the underground garage! Parking is difficult in this area, but we never had to worry since we knew we had our assigned parking space waiting for us when we returned from our outings! We walked on the beach everyday and there are stairs leading from the small park next door down to the beach. We also enjoyed just sitting on the patio in the early morning and evening enjoying the beautiful ocean view. The grocery store was close by as well as good restaurants and local shops. Our favorite restaurant was The Fisherman Restaurant on the pier. They actually have two restaurants....a casual one that does a great happy hour (M-F), and the other one with a more extensive menu. They seafood is fantastic and their portions are very generous! We recommend going to Dana Point Harbor which is just a few miles north of San Clemente. There are some good restaurants there and you can take whale & dolphin watching boat trips. We spent the better part of the day at Dana Point Harbor.....went on a boat trip and saw LOTS of dolphins and then enjoyed a wonderful meal afterwards. Overall, we had a wonderful trip and were extremely happy with our accommodations. Eileen & Mike, the owners, were very helpful about recommending places to go. They were also very easy to work with on the rental. They had a welcome gift of fresh grapefruit and oranges from their own grove. We certainly enjoyed the fruit with our breakfast every morning!"

  • Wonderful house, nice people, highly recommended.

"We particular liked that Brent and Celeste were very welcoming and friendly hosts. They showed us all around at the beginning and everything was prepared way over our expectation. We stayed for a week for work and leisure. Because we are working on a book and a video course we needed a nice place where we can shoot our videos. What we found was a place where we could relax and work at the same time. The owners even gave us their bikes and helped us out with a screwdriver which we needed for our working session on one day. We would definitely come back again and stay there, as the location and the house is the best we could imagine. Thx again Brent and Celeste."

  • Love San Clemente and Casa Miramar!

"We’ve stayed in many beautiful homes and condos over the years but Casa Mira Mar is now hands down our favorite vacation rental. San Clemente is a charming little beach town and just perfect for enjoying some much needed mid-winter downtime (and sunshine!). Its location was ideal for making day trips to friends and family in Los Angeles and San Diego (not to mention several amusement parks in the surrounding areas). The home itself is a lovely showcase of Spanish Colonial architecture and everything we needed was within walking distance of the house (beaches, restaurants, shops, etc.). There’s a sweet municipal golf course with breathtaking ocean and canyon view about ten minutes away and one our favorite Mexican restaurants ANYWHERE is right around the corner. But it’s really also the little things, the often-overlooked amenities, that put Casa Miramar ahead of other typical vacation rentals in my opinion. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the requisite equipment and a large collection of spices with which to cook, and there are plenty of place settings for hosting cocktail hour and dinner parties. There’s an array of different size pillows so every guest can choose the size/firmness that fits their tastes and each room has reading lamps on BOTH sides of the bed (which we book lovers certainly do appreciate!). There are lots of hangers in every closet so you don’t have to skimp on your vacation wardrobe, and hooks on the back of the doors help ensure that clothes and wet towels stay in their proper place. It may seem like small stuff but when I’m away from my own home these little things afford a sense of comfort that can be difficult to attain while on vacation. San Clemente and Casa Mira Mar surpassed our expectations and will certainly become a repeat vacation destination spot for our family."

  • Hidden Treasure in San Clemente

"We spent two extraordinary months at Casa Mar. The sun filled cottage surpassed all our expectations. The cottage was private, meticulous in decor and cleanliness, and centrally located. The lovely garden, with it's beautiful blooms, was tranquil and relaxing. A great place to soak up the sun and read. The cottage is a short walk to the pier and spectular sunsets. We found the neighborhood to be quiet, friendly and safe. Bluey and Dennis were the perfect hosts. We highly recommend this rental property."
