  • Christmas on Balboa Island

"Our family of 4 stayed at this wonderful home for 17 nights during the holidays and had a fabulous time! You can walk to everything, and never really get into a car unless you want to leave the island. The home was furnished with absolutely everything you could need. It felt as though we we in our own home for the holidays, rather than a cold, stark rental. Everything is clearly labeled- the lighting, the tv and stereo equipment. The rental process was very easy, absolutely no problems communicating with the owners. Thank you Shari for everything! We would stay again in a heartbeat!"

  • It was a mansion and a beautiful one at that

"We decided to go to Newport Beach California for my children's holiday. We stayed one week in this amazing home. My brother and his family came along too.The owners of the home live local, so they greeted us right when we arrived. Anthony and Megan were their names. Anthony showed us how to use the TV and surround sound, jacuzzi, bbq and Megan gave us a tour of the home. They even gave us a beautiful basket filled with goodies, and wine, the wine of course being my favorite. We did have one issue with one of the showers, but they had a plumber come fix it the very next day. But there were 5 other working showers, so we were fine without one for the night. We decided to rent the guest house as well for the extra room. The guest house is actually attached to the home by a shared balcony, and there is a bedroom between the guest house and the main house. This bedroom was a lot of fun for the children as it was hidden behind a bookcase. The owners did it this way, so that the room can be used as part of the guest house or as part of the main house. It was brilliant, we felt like we were in a movie in this home. So much more grand then any hotel we have ever stayed at. The guest house has it's own entrance and it's own parking garage. The kitchen facility is absolutely incredible with tons of room for the whole family to gather around while I was doing the cooking. The family room is quite large as well, everything about this home is amazing. We only cooked three of the night that we were there. The other evenings we walked down to the local restaurants. The sunsets were amazing, the neighborhood was quiet."

Of course, no one comes to Orange County without heading to Anaheim area to visit the Magic Kingdom, Disneyland, the iconic original home to the world-famous mouse and friends. Long before Captain Jack Sparrow, local residents and visitors knew the dangers that lurked for unsuspecting riders on the Pirates of the Caribbean!

You could also take advantage of the weather at Fashion island, an outdoor shopping experience with over 200 stores, featuring a Venetian carousel. If you find you are missing Mickey, head to Downtown Disney District where you will find more than just the House of Mouse; you will also find great nightlife. To mix entertainment and shopping, a great day out is the Block at Orange, with shops and plenty of entertainment, including themed restaurants and a skate park. Then, there is the Village at Orange; it is huge too! If you still need more shopping, the Irvine Spectrum Center has that and more.
