"My wife and I have been vacationing in Coronado for many years. We've stayed in condos and private homes and always on or very near the ocean. When we found this house, we had no need to look further. It's across the street from the beach, EASY walking distance to the city's many, varied and great restaurants, shopping, movie theater, and the famous Del Coronado Hotel. Most of the city is flat which makes bicycling a fun pastime also.
The house has super views of the ocean, Point Loma, and the beach, available from the living room, two bedrooms (plus a sitting room which also has a bed), and especially, the front porch.
We love that it's a historic home (built 1910) with all the character of that era. It's easy to imagine the early years when it was likely only one of just a few homes on the beachfront.
We've stayed here in both summer and winter and the weather is almost always great. When we left the Los Angeles area 28 years ago, we left close friends behind. It's really easy to convince them to drive down and visit when we're here."

"I stayed in this condo in February. The weather was perfect, and the location ideal. I did not want to rent a car, and I did not need one. It was two blocks to the beach, and two blocks to Orange Avenue with plenty of shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Bus system was easily accesible , as was the ferry over to San Diego. The condo itself was lovely, and I especially appreciated the washer and dryer in the unit. The owners were very helpful and responsive to all questions and concerns. I made a great choice with this rental. Would consider going back!!"

"We stayed in this house for a month last February. The house is beautifully decorated, very clean, really comfortable beds, and stocked with everything that you might need. The roof/BBQ area is a great place to hang out, have coffee in mornings, dinner in evenings. We had our children and grandchildren visit and they had so much fun choosing what story they would sleep on and hanging out on the roof! We loved the close location to restaurants and downtown area, just a five minute walk to everything you might need. Tennis courts are a two minute walk, and the beautiful Coronado Library is right around the corner. The bikes in the garage were a big hit, we rode to the beach and all over Coronado.
The owner was great, we had one small problem with a key when we first arrived and the problem was fixed the next morning. The house is in a quiet location, close to Orange Avenue but on a quiet street.
We will definitely be coming back to this property and highly recommend it."

"This vacation rental is a perfect base for a stay on Coronado. Just 10 minutes from San Diego Int. Airport, a quick water taxi ride to downtown and the BEST part is - you are ON the island where a ten minute bike ride will put you at the Del Coronado (go for happy hour!) or the wide, sandy beach, or the shops and restaurants along Orange Ave, or those along the bay (any meal at Tartines is a treat). We gathered our family of grown children there for Christmas week and had a wonderful time! The house is furnished tastefully and the kitchen is well appointed for meals at home. The lot may be small but is private and has outdoor space both front and back. Put your car in the garage for safekeeping then select a bike from the 8 on site. The bikes are in good condition and the owners provide locks so you can bike into town or the beach and then keep them locked while you explore or sun. Three have baskets and there are two grocery stores just blocks from the house. Tooling home with wine and cheese definitely says "I'm on va-ca!" Beach towels, quality linens and abundant crockery and glassware make this house a gem. The only down side is - a week goes by too quickly!"
