Loved it so much I booked for the next year during my first stay!
"We chose the cottage for our family get-away based on the location, size and affordability of this cottage. What we experienced was so much more impressive than the pictures or descriptions can adequately relate. From the moment we walked through the white picket fence, past all the beautiful roses and greenery, we felt right at home. The flowers that give this cottage it's curb appeal are more vibrant and welcoming than any picture can capture. The home is well-decorated with a comfortable, beach-y feel. My family (including 2 children ages 7 and 9 plus two dogs) fit more than comfortably throughout our two week stay. The firepit is wonderful to relax by in the evenings, and over the summer, watch the nearly nightly fireworks put on by Coronado. It was the perfect location for us to walk and bike almost anywhere, with the added convenience of the shuttle stop only a couple of blocks away. I enjoyed my stay so much that I booked my next trip with the owner before I left. The owner was lovely and attentive and accommodating both prior to my check in and throughout my stay. I am so looking forward to my next stay here."

"My wife and I have been vacationing in Coronado for many years. We've stayed in condos and private homes and always on or very near the ocean. When we found this house, we had no need to look further. It's across the street from the beach, EASY walking distance to the city's many, varied and great restaurants, shopping, movie theater, and the famous Del Coronado Hotel. Most of the city is flat which makes bicycling a fun pastime also.
The house has super views of the ocean, Point Loma, and the beach, available from the living room, two bedrooms (plus a sitting room which also has a bed), and especially, the front porch.
We love that it's a historic home (built 1910) with all the character of that era. It's easy to imagine the early years when it was likely only one of just a few homes on the beachfront.
We've stayed here in both summer and winter and the weather is almost always great. When we left the Los Angeles area 28 years ago, we left close friends behind. It's really easy to convince them to drive down and visit when we're here."

"The house is located in a quiet and private area, amazingly close to the beach. The pictures don't do the house justice. It's very pretty and very clean. If I had to find a negative I would say that one of the two upstairs bathrooms could be a little bit bigger. It is ideal for a 3 families. Two living rooms give plenty of privacy.
Coronado is a wonderful pedestrian vacation destination and the house is located near all the attractions. You can walk to Hotel Del (5 min. walk), to Coronado Beach (2 min. walk), to the shops on Orange Avenue (2 min. walk) or even to the Ferry Landing (30 min. leisurely walk, from where you can take the Ferry to San Diego). All in all a great vacation destination."

"My family and I stayed at this magnificent home on Coronado last August for our son's wedding on the Island. The house and large courtyard are even more beautiful than the photos and description indicate. It is truly an architectural gem, with furnishings, paintings, and memorabilia in each room appropriate to a Mission style. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to prepare a festive dinner. The large courtyard contains three tables and abundant seating for dining or relaxing. Each bedroom, as well as the living room, dining room, and kitchen has its own door that opens onto the lovely courtyard. This delightful Mexican design makes the bedrooms seem very private, and the whole house appear larger than it is. Quiet portable fan/air coolers in each room were effective at making the temperature just right. Beautiful Coronado Beach is just a mile away, and great restaurants and views are within walking or biking distance. Mrs. Coumes provided us with clear instructions and was available by phone for any questions. I highly recommend this lovely home for a truly memorable beach vacation."
