"This house was more than just a rental for our family's stay on Coronado Island. It was the perfect home to make ourselves comfortable, walk to the beach, and even get ready for our daughter's wedding! The home has the feel of love from generations past, with rooms equipped with everything you need, and also charming places for visiting around a fireplace, a dining room table and den. Upstairs there are four large bedrooms and two bathrooms with beautiful windows that overlook the backyard and front street. Downstairs there is a small bedroom off the kitchen with a half bathroom which was perfect for our family when our daughter needed her own space to prepare for the special event! The backyard was ideal for toddler grandchildren to safely play while we BBQ'd and ate under a large shady tree. The front porch has chairs on which to sit and enjoy the sidewalk view and toys and bikes are also available for to use. Our large family loved our time together in Coronado, the short walks to the beach and also into town. The location was perfect, yet it felt like a quiet retreat. The owner maintains the house with personal care, communicates well and is easy to work with. We were grateful for all of this, and being able to enjoy this special home that has the character and grace of another time. We hope to return again soon!"Guest: Elise Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: August 11, 2014View listing

"My family and I had to get out of the mountains. We needed some sand, surf and sun. This place was perfect. The bedrooms were perfect for a long stay. Everything was available to live there and cook there. It was so clean and cozy, and close to everything. We had a blast at the Del and in San Diego. But the best part was that we were on the water and a short stroll, a half of a block, to the sand and surf. It was so nice we are going to go back!! Thanks for a great vacay!"Guest: Lover of Sand, Surf and Sun Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: October 6, 2014View listing
"Our family of four adults and two children thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely and well-maintained Coronado home. We were within blocks of great restaurants, the Hotel Del, shopping and the beach. The owner, Bob, was friendly and responsive to our questions. The home came with many amenities, great beds, linens and towels. The kitchen had great cookware and dishes and the cupboards came stocked with spices and basic condiments. The backyard was a relaxing retreat with a good gas barbecue. Overall, we would say this home is great for adults, but not as well designed for families with small children due to sharp corners, glass table tops and a floor to ceiling picture window in the living room."Guest: Donna L.
