Great Family House on Family Friendly Coronado
"This was 1 of 2 houses we rented for our family during our son's wedding. The house was fantastic. It is a great gathering place for people, easy access to town and the beach, and in a family friendly neighborhood. The house was exactly as advertised...great family room and kitchen, outstanding outdoor area (which we used extensively) and the bedrooms were all comfortable. Additionally, Dan and Sue were so very easy to work with. The second house we rented was very nice but the owners were much less responsive and difficult to work with. If we go back to San Diego and need a house we would definitely see if this property was available as our first choice."

"My wife and I have been vacationing in Coronado for many years. We've stayed in condos and private homes and always on or very near the ocean. When we found this house, we had no need to look further. It's across the street from the beach, EASY walking distance to the city's many, varied and great restaurants, shopping, movie theater, and the famous Del Coronado Hotel. Most of the city is flat which makes bicycling a fun pastime also.
The house has super views of the ocean, Point Loma, and the beach, available from the living room, two bedrooms (plus a sitting room which also has a bed), and especially, the front porch.
We love that it's a historic home (built 1910) with all the character of that era. It's easy to imagine the early years when it was likely only one of just a few homes on the beachfront.
We've stayed here in both summer and winter and the weather is almost always great. When we left the Los Angeles area 28 years ago, we left close friends behind. It's really easy to convince them to drive down and visit when we're here."

"The house is a short walk to the beach. It has a great yard for our kids to play in and plenty of living space for our family. Restaurants and shopping are also only a short walk away. We parked our car out front upon arrival and didnt have to drive anywhere until our departure. The neighborhood was peaceful and friendly. Coronado beach is fantastic as there is plenty of space and it has good bathroom facilities. We will be back."

"We have rented this home now twice--in July 2013 and July 2014--the home is incredible. There are so many things we love about it starting with the location. We come each year for Comicon and for surfing. For Comicon, it's a short walk to the ferry directly to the Sand Diego convention center and our children (ages 10-14) come and go without a car. For paddleboarding, swimming and sailing the house is on the bay so it's 20' to the water. For surfing it's only 3 miles down the beach to the best Coronado surfing spots. But the amazing home and its amenities pale by comparison next to the wonderful owners--who have lived on Coronado all their lives. They know everyone on the island, and everyone on the island (surf instructors, babysitters, etc.) knows and respects them. This house we were staying in was our calling card to getting terrific people to make this the best family vacation (twice now) we could have hoped for. We plan to rent it a third time in 2015 !"
