We had a great time!
"Our family stayed in this beautiful home for 10 days in February! We had a wonderful time. The house is very spacious and comfortable, with many places to sit and relax, including a lovely back patio. We were definitely able to unwind in this home.
The pool table was a big hit- the kids shot pool everyday! The beds were really comfortable, as were the many pillows. ( We could have left ours at home!) The main bathroom is a full bath, and the master has a nice walk-in corner shower.
I love having a space to do laundry on vacation, and this home had that as well! The kitchen was also very nice, and we ate most of our meals at the house.
The sunsets off the back patio were lovely! We would definitely recommend this home for your stay in the Del Mar area. Julia was also very prompt in returning our security deposit, which we truly appreciated!
***(If you have small children, consider packing some toys and games for you stay, as the home isn't really set up for small children.)"

"We had a wonderful time at Shay's home. We were 6 adults and 3 kids (7, 4, and 9 mos.). The back yard was lovely with a great pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen, and playhouse. The kids loved it. There were also lots of games, a box of race cars (son loved it), and a great selection of books for adults and kids! The listing was accurate - one master king, 3 full sized beds, and one extra wide daybed (and blow up mattress). The full sized bed on the first floor is very high off the ground. A bit tricky for my older mother, but manageable. The master was very large and great for fitting the pack n' play. We left a booster seat there that might be good for a baby who can sit up well (9 mos or so).
If a crawling baby, beware that we were not the first family to visit Legoland while staying there, and we won't be the last. There were legos around, which we probably added to as well. Otherwise the house was well maintained and seemed very clean. The neighborhood seems very nice and safe with playgrounds sprinkled all over the place, including the school playground just two short blocks away!
Would highly recommend for any families with kids. They had a blast."

"We just finished up a 5 night stay at Dennis and Mimi's. Overall, the unit was fantastic. Dennis gave us a quick tour as soon as we arrived and even provided a stool for my two boys to use at the tall bathroom sink. He was very friendly, always waving hello and giving us tips for the area.
The unit itself is very clean and well-taken care of. Both bedrooms were surprisingly spacious; the bathrooms were huge! There is a lack of dining seating inside but our two boys were happy to eat at the breakfast bar. The kitchen is small but well-equipped. We did not make meals however and chose to eat out aside from breakfast and a few lunches.
The only cons were no fan in the master (it did get a tad stuffy at night even with windows opened) and the steep, narrow stairway down. Easily doable for a 6 and 8 yr old but not so much for anyone with toddlers or knee issues. Also, there is no true beach access but we knew that coming in. The surfer trails down are steep but we did see a few easier ones we could of made it down; Dennis will give you tips for nearby access. If you have younger children, the cliffs are a tad unsettling. My 6 yr old is a tad sporadic and clumsy so we had to keep a hand on him at all times.
Del Mar is a beautiful town but very very upscale. We had a hard time eating out with picky/restless kids but found plenty of casual dining options in the area.
Overall, it was a great 5 night stay and I'd recommend it to friends and family."
