Great Beach Cottage
"This cottage is in a great location; only 1/2 block from the beach. Julie is very accommodating and helpful. The cottage was clean and well equipped, even down to sunscreen and shampoo!. Being able to rent Julie's bikes (for a very small fee) was very convenient and a great way to get around town without using a car. Nice patio in front and a BBQ too. Very quiet area . I would definitely stay there again."

"What a wonderful house! The location is just magnificent. With a hectic schedule of Legoland and all things kid related, this house was a wonderful respite at the end of a busy day. Morning coffee on the balcony to watch the daily rituals of the locals - surfing, dog walking, jogging, strolling. A glass of wine to salute the sunsets. It was divine. We ventured down to the nearby beach that was so intimate, yet groovy. This part of La Jolla is so chilled that you couldn't help but melt into relaxation the moment you stepped foot inside the house. The house itself is large and with our party of six, we had plenty of room to retreat to peace and quiet. The house is well appointed, clean and nicely styled. But, above all else - the Bluewater Vacation Homes Team are responsive, friendly and professional. It was a seamless stay from top to bottom. And…La Jolla made an indelible mark on us all. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!"

"We rented this cottage because of it's proximity to the beach. Couldn't have asked for a better location in that regard! AND there were beach toys and a wagon! EXACTLY what we needed!
The cottage was clean, which is what everyone wants when they're traveling too. The 2 bedrooms are super small though, and once you open a suitcase, you are climbing on top of each other. There is no air circulation in there so windows must remain open. Then the street noise from the bar across the street and the walkway from the apartment home next door float right in. This place could really use a couple of fans for white noise. But then the other issue would be where to plug them in. We were constantly looking for outlets where you didn't need to unplug something to use them. When you travel as a family, you're recharging phones, iPads, camera batteries, laptops, etc. We had one device plugged into every room and I thought for sure we were going to forget something.
The off-street parking was nice though. And coordinating with Bob was easy."

"This beach house is awesome. It is smack in the middle of the happening area of Mission Beach. We had fun relaxing on the patio watching all the surfers with their boards walk by. In fact, there's a surf school right down the walkway. The layout of the house is great and perfect for families with small kids, teenagers and/or adult kids because everyone can get their own bedroom/bathroom/private patio. There were tons of towels and chairs and beach toys to use. You can walk a few steps and be at the beach (or the bay side), decide to come home for lunch and then go back to the beach again because it's so easy and not a hassle to go back and forth. While we were there, we caught a Padres game at Petco Park and did a Beer Trolley tour of several micro-breweries in downtown San Diego. Uber picked us up and brought us back for about $7 each way. We also had a great dinner (which we walked to) at World Famous in Pacific Beach. Jeannie was super, very accessible and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely come back! Thank you Jeannie!"
