"We've had several summer visits to La Jolla Shores, this was our first stay at Truel's Cottage. Location was ideal for beach & restaurant access, and noise (my concern) was no problem, just the sound of happy vacationers! The cottage was very clean and comfy for the four of us and my son's little dog. We enjoyed grilling & dining on the private back courtyard patio. The private parking spot is a real plus. Owner Bob checked in personally to make sure all was well. Great stay & look forward to returning to Truel's Cottage!"

"Just bring your clothes and remember to include your bathing suit and your sunburn protection and be open to a great time. This condo has it all. A view that is a classic with temperatures that make every day a day to remember. A heated pool and heated spa and restaurants you can walk to and a park that provides entertainment you will enjoy. When temperatures not very far away were well over 100 degrees, the Imperial Club tenants were basking in 75% and sunshine. An underground garage heavily secured as is the entire facility makes for comfort that makes it tough to leave."

"Michelle was very nice to allow us in a few hours early so we could watch the Super Bowl - many thanks!
Cottage was fine with about everything that you could ask for and the location is excellent - near everything including beaches, coffee shops, downtown La Jolla, and all services. I was a little worried about parking, but never has any problem. When we did have a problem with a table lamp, it was taken care of very quickly. We were impressed with all the "goodies" in the garage that help to make the vacation fun (beach chairs, bikes, boards, little wagon, etc. A very nice touch.
There are a few upgrades the cottage could use as well as some defered mantainance as it's getting well used, but all-in-all, it worked out great and worth the cost. We hope to return again in the next few years and will hope to stay again in the cottage."

"STUNNING is an understatement. This house was wonderful in so many ways: Beds extremely comfortable. Kitchen big enough for 3 people to gather and share cooking alongside each other using both ovens. Hot water at a touch of button! Comfy seats throughout! It was too cold to be on the balcony but we could see stars and birds from the huge windows. The place was beautiful; it became my son and future daughter in law's backdrop for their pre-wedding pictures. We hung her wedding dress from the upstairs unique wooden balcony. She and the bridesmaids took their pictures in the large family room while my son had his pictures out on the porch. They both saw each other for the 1st look down in the tall grasses below the house. And sat on the fun tree swing on the side of the house. Thank you.
I recommend this place to anyone who doesn't have difficulty walking. My 83 y.o. mother in law stayed here one night and loved the rocking chair so much I think she actually spent the night in it. She said she couldn't safely walk up and down the wooden stairs, she thought she might slip.
Three things I would add if possible: high bar stools facing the kitchen so people can sit and talk to those cooking. Make the 1 parking spot bigger to fit 2 cars. Bigger mirrors in the bathrooms. :)
A big thank you to Carre St. Andre for providing helpful answers.
We are ready to come visit again. So peaceful and joyful there. * On a special note, if you are looking for a gluten free apple pie, try Apple Alley Bakery. Only gluten free pie in town and very yummy."
