  • Paradise at the beach

"What can I say that would convince you to stay here! To say every thing was perfect would be a understatement. First day I tried to get on line I could not, so I called the owners Ann and Rand, they tried walking me through but being unable to resolve the problem they were knocking on the door a hour later, still unable to solve the problem Rand got me the password for the neighbours until the next day when he returned with a knew router so I could be on a more secure line. The condo has everything you would need except toothbrush cloths and groceries. Listening to the sound of the ocean is so relaxing and you can here it from the bedroom, if you find it is not loud enough from the bedroom you ca pull down the Murphy bed and sleep in the living-room. Don't think twice this is a perfect place and the cost is great for what you get for the week."

  • Gorgeous views, fantastic beach, equipped with everything!

"This is the first time I've ever had a rental match up to pictures, and exceed expectations. This is a really nice 2-BR, fully equipped condo - right down to coffee maker and kettle. (Short a few table knives, but hey - I can imagine those have to be replenished annually!) 1 King Bed, 2 Twins were perfect for us and the two teens. Comes fully stocked with towels, bedding and even cleaning equipment/supplies - thank you - including beach towels. All you need to buy is food. I loved sitting out on the balcony with my book and cup of tea every morning, listening to the waves break, watching the early surfers look for the perfect wave, and seeing the family of dolphins that usually came in once or twice per day. The beach is clean, gravel free and is raked for seaweed daily. It's a five minute walk to the pier, and for restaurants nearby, Aroma Thai, IB Sports Bar, and Sea 180 (in the hotel next door) were excellent. (I'll be posting reviews of those separately.) The pool and hot tub were also well maintained. Honestly, this was about as perfect a vacation rental as I've ever had. We rented through and it was seamless. Check-in and out was easy, and loved having our own designated parking space below. Easy access to Coronado, the airport, the zoo, the outlet mall, and old town. Thank you Gerry F. for sharing your home away from home!"

  • Family vacation

"What a wonderful condo with the perfect location, and spacious rooms. Trips back and forth to the beach were easy and convenient. The condo was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Well stocked with all the necessities of home. When my brother brought a bag of fresh coffee beans, we even found a coffee grinder. My elderly parents were with us, and it was great having room for them to lounge and rest when they needed to. So much better than a hotel room. The location was perfect, and from the balcony, we enjoyed watching the sun set every night. It felt like home-away from home. We will keep this condo on our list for any return trips to San Diego. Thank you for sharing your condo with us."

Imperial Beach Travel Tips

Imperial Beach Vacation Apartments

Every July, hundreds of thousands of vacationers flock to Imperial Beach, California, for the U.S. Open Sand Castle Building Contest. With its clean white sand thought to be among the best in the nation, Imperial Beach is a prime beach getaway.

Imperial Beach vacation homes, many of which are right on the beach, are a great way to enjoy your stay in the San Diego area. Imperial Beach vacation apartments are just 20 miles from San Diego's world famous zoo and other attractions, yet the laid-back beaches are a world apart from the city hustle of San Diego -- and you won't have to deal with hotel crowds or worry about checking in or out at a specific time.

Try Your Hand at Surf Fishing

Step out the front door of your Imperial Beach vacation homes rental, walk a few feet to the shoreline, and cast your line into the surf. And you can enjoy a view of the Los Coronados Islands from the Imperial Beach Pier, which is actually within walking distance of the Mexican border.

While you're at the pier, be sure to take a look at "Surfhenge," the circle of unique surfboard benches with their accompanying plaques that tell the story of Imperial Beach's surfing history.

Dining on the Pier

When you're done fishing on the pier, stroll over to the Tin Fish for crab cakes that the locals call "incredible." Or, if you're in the mood for Greek salad with homemade dressing followed by sizzling kabobs, check out the family owned Beach Club Grille.

Imperial Beach vacation apartments allow you to live like the locals do. Relax in your own home away from home while you indulge in all that a beach getaway has to offer.

With San Diego vacation rentals, you're on your way to the perfect beach vacation.
