"This is an ideal place for a small family. Fenced yard, BBQ, bikes, boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs...everything for a beach vacation. The only drawback is that's it's located on Mission Blvd which can get loud. Otherwise it was ideal. Highly recommended."

"We stayed in the home for 2 weeks and loved every minute of it. We were traveling for work all the way from Florida and had never been to SoCal before. We were a little bit nervous because we had heard so many things about California (bad traffic, crowded, over priced, etc) and were a little bit nervous but we would go back to Solana Beach (and the home) in a heartbeat. The weather was great, the people were extremely friendly and every meal we had outside of the house was really good. The house was perfectly appointed, the front porch and back deck were great for relaxing after work and the kitchen was a joy to cook in. Station Sushi, Pizza Port and a few other bar/restaurants within walking distance were great. Having use of the bikes was a nice feature and we definitely utilized them. The beach access was a 2 minute walk from the house and we went almost every day, even if just to watch the sunset. On Thursday nights there was live music at the beach access point at Fletcher's Cove sponsored by Belly Up (a music venue within walking distance) and there were so many families enjoying a nice evening overlooking the Pacific. We went to Del Mar Racetrack one night too. There is a shuttle bus on weekends from the train station just across the PCH so we didn't even have to worry about driving and parking. I'm looking forward to getting back here someday with my wife and enjoying Nina's cottage!"
