"My husband and I visited Cathleen's Country Cottage in Julian for our honeymoon. After all the hoopla a wedding brings, we wanted something quiet, restorative and simple. It was exactly what we were looking for and more. Nada was prompt, communicative and friendly when responding to our initial inquiry and subsequent questions and the cottage and grounds were comfortable and well maintained. In addition, the town itself and the locals impressed us so much that if we could figure out what to do for a living there, we'd probably move! Thank you, Nada. We will be back....probably as soon as this winter (if/when the snow comes)."

"My family and I stayed here at the end of August for the Pacific Classic, Del Mar Thoroughbred Races (DMRT) and the San Diego Spirits Festival.
First let me just tell you that the views are unimagineable. Photos can't even come close to describing the experience of being on vacation here. If you love the beach, you will not find a better location to spend your time off in San Diego or North County.
The private beach must be the best in San Diego. The water was excellent, even warm enough to swim at night, which we did on several occasions. Surfing and surf fishing was so fun and convenient (Blue Water Tackle right up the road to buy your permit).
Location was very convenient, walk to the Race Track, Pacific Coast Liner (Coaster), Red Tracktons, The Brigantine (one of the best happy hours in the area), Crush, Tide Water (bar & grill), The Saddle Bar (very fun bar), Del Mar Plaza (Il Fornaio - our favorite, and grocery store within the plaza), Belly Up Tavern, Tony Jacals..so many good places in this area, too many to mention! Also there is a spa/salon near by (also walking distance) and many retail boutiques.
The furnishing, appliances and all ammenities met or exceeded our expectations for a vacation rental.
Plenty of linen and washer and drier in unit.
Pools were clean and quiet, parking was easy, sunsets were jaw dropping.
I would recommend to friends and I would stay here again."

"We enjoyed the closeness of an awesome beach, and the view of the beach from the unit. The bed was comfortable, and the fully-stocked kitchen was appreciated on the few occasions we wanted to save time and money by cooking something at the unit. The grills in the common area are very nice as well.
We also appreciated the use of the owner's beach chairs, boogie boards, and beach towels.
The Bose stereo system helped make up for the lack of channels on the t.v.
Good restaurants within walking distance, and central coast location means a very short commute to grocery stores, more restaurants, La Jolla, downtown attractions, Coronado, etc.
If we return to this area again, we would consider staying here again. We had no issues (except for a lack of consistent hot water, which we reported to the owner after our stay - it was not a huge issue). A word of caution: the shower is contained within the deep, jetted tub, which might be tricky for some people to enter/exit.
We lost a piece of valued jewelry during our stay. Upon our departure, we informed the cleaning person, and she found it after we left. The cleaning company, and the owner went above and beyond in not only finding it, but shipping it to us.
Overall, this was a good value."
