"This property took our breath away. Brought a group of moms to the Sacred Mountain for a retreat. Every nook and cranny was so special. We sat by the fireplaces, took hikes, ate outdoors. It was so comfortable and beautiful. The quality of the decor is amazing but it is also so comfortable!"

"We very much enjoyed out stay. The house was clean, well supplied and orderly. It suited our purposes perfectly and we would reserve again. Unfortunately, Julian was experiencing some unusual weather and it was rainy, cold and windy which forced us to stay in rather than venturing out. The pellet stove was out of order and the space heaters provided in its stead were inadequate for the space but we were comfortable wearing warm clothing. Our only objection was the phone number provided had been disconnected and with the storm we were unable to use our cell phones leaving us completely without communication. Having no phone is something that should be included in the property description as it poses a safety issue in such a remote area."

"We adore staying in this cabin. It's very relaxing. We have come with other couples, groups of friends, family and just the two of us over the years. Each and every time a new experience. The owner is extremely warm and friendly. He always makes sure to leave the home in immaculate condition. The views are breathtaking. Our favorite thing to do is sit outside and watch the wild turkey and deer over our morning coffee. Perfect for an anniversary or honeymoon."

"I can't say enough great things about the property. Secluded at the end of a cul-de-sac, we felt totally isolated which is what we were looking for. A short drive from Julian made it the perfect getaway. There was enough room for 2 adults and 3 children to move around and not feel like we were cramped. The large upstairs living room was a perfect play area for the kids as it was rainy most of the weekend, and the fantastic fireplace was a perfect setting for roasting marshmallows and hotdogs. The downstairs was perfect for the adults to "escape" for a few minutes of peace and quiet. I would suggest arriving before dark so you can easily navigate your way to the electric and finding the heat. READ THE BOOK before you settle in as it gives detailed instructions on everything. We got in late we neglected to read it until the next morning, so we didn't know where to turn on the heat... we were warm enough with the plug in heaters, but once we discovered the heat, it was very comfy in the cabin.
AND talk about supplies. I brought things I did not need. There are dishes and utensils galore. I've rented places that said it was stocked and there were only 4 settings of everything and 2 pans. There is enough in the cabin that I didn't need to bring anything but food.
As I said, it rained and with rain comes ants. We didn't discover them until the very last day and in the book it clearly indicated where the ant spray was and what to do. IT is the country folks... and that is a piece of nature. We did find that they LOVE to crawl all over the car though. But a thorough spray of the hose and they were history. Not a big deal to us...
One more note is the manager, Gina... she is fabulous. We never did meet but she was very accommodating. We can't praise this cabin enough and would buy it if it were for sale.
Another note is a trip to the Smith Railroad and Mine. The kids loved riding the railcards and going into the mine in a coal car. The obstacle coarse was a big hit too. SO glad we were able to fit that in and that the rain stopped for us to go."
