Fantastic Memorial Day Weekend Vacation
"We stayed at this condo over Memorial Day weekend. My brother-in-law (Navy Veteran) and family came to visit Southern California and greater San Diego was our destination of choice. All told we had four adults and three young children. This place was EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED.
Friday was our travel day from Los Angeles and we arrived here(after stopping at In'N'Out of course) to a CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, SPACIOUS place. We own mid-size Honda cars so we caravaned down in two cars and arrived here with TWO PARKING SPACES available! The kitchen had all the items we needed, which was important since our families enjoy preparing food. The beach was literally 'STEPS AWAY' so we unpacked and headed over right away before returning to have a BARBEQUE. The bbq was on the patio surrounded by bamboo!
Saturday we toured the USS MIDWAY. During the tour we actually met a WWII Navy Veteran involved in storming the beach on D-Day(June 6, 1944). Wow!! We made the drive up to MT. SOLEDAD on our return to the condo. This place had EASY ACCESS TO AND FROM INTERSTATE 5 so traffic really wasn't an issue during our stay.
Sunday was BEACH DAY for our families so we packed up our gear and walked 'AROUND THE CORNER', literally. Our three children had a blast playing on the beach and in the ocean. After the beach we had another bbq on Sunday and this time my wife's uncle stopped by to supply us with fresh fruit and meats. Needless to say, the kitchen and bbq worked well, again, with many people prepping and cooking all the food. The dining room table was large enough to hold our large spread of goodies which made our last night there very ful-FILLING (pun intended).
As a parent of an almost two year-old child, the set-up of this place was very "child-proof " in that there weren't many things our child could grab or break, etc. The place was very toddler-friendly and the place is gated.
In all, we snapped hundreds of photos and will always cherish our memories of our fantastic Memorial Day 2015 vacation! We were lucky to have stayed at such a nice place and are greatful to VRBO/the owners on making this a great, smooth, no-worries experience. :)"

"Our stay in this house couldn't have been better. As mentioned by a previous reviewer, the home is very well kept and equipped with anything you could need for a stay near the beach. It was an easy drive to any of the San Diego attractions, and even better was the easy walk to the beach. The house is the perfect calm place to hang out between outings or just to take a break from the ocean. The last few days we stayed strictly in LaJolla Shores - no other area could compare with its beauty, walkability, lovely restaurants and lack of traffic.
Just a note: the stairs to the master bedroom could be a problem for someone with limited mobility, but they were no problem for us or our toddler."

"We stayed here for five nights in May 2015. The location was ideal for us. We found the unit to be clean and pretty well cared for. Having a garage in this neighborhood was a big plus. The area is very quite at night and you can hear the surf if you open the windows. The kitchen was not as well stocked as other rentals that we have had therefore, we did not cook very much. The grill had a tank of gas installed and a spare. We were able to use the front patio every day (even in the mornings). Pillows need to be replaced. There are plenty of towels. There is a great supply of stuff that you need to go to the beach (including chairs and umbrella) in the garage. All in all, it was a great stay."

"For a reunion with my two sisters this was great (and would work well for larger group, too). Loved the location, cleanliness, great beds, and quiet! Restaurants were great and easy to walk to and a little kayaking in the bay was very fun and also just a walk away."
