Outstanding family rental
"Our stay in this house couldn't have been better. As mentioned by a previous reviewer, the home is very well kept and equipped with anything you could need for a stay near the beach. It was an easy drive to any of the San Diego attractions, and even better was the easy walk to the beach. The house is the perfect calm place to hang out between outings or just to take a break from the ocean. The last few days we stayed strictly in LaJolla Shores - no other area could compare with its beauty, walkability, lovely restaurants and lack of traffic.
Just a note: the stairs to the master bedroom could be a problem for someone with limited mobility, but they were no problem for us or our toddler."

"Recently four couples enjoyed an incredible five day holiday at this wonderful home in La Jolla! There was room for all of us and the house was clean and comfortable. The location adjacent to the ocean is incredible. We enjoyed many long walks along the beach, being able to go far past the pier at low tide, and relaxed to beautiful sunsets from the front deck. The park across the street was a lovely place to hang out, and play frisbee and enjoy the ocean breeze! Towels and beach chairs were provided for days at the beach, which was so conveneint and made for lighter travelling coming from Canada. The house itself is well-appointed with a big living area for our large group to hang out in together. The kitchen was well-stocked allowing us to take advantage of the home and stay in for dinner - great bbq area! The house is also very near excellent dining, so we could walk to supper for an easy night out, which was terrific too! There was a broken window crank in the master bathroom and when I emailed Brant about the problem, it was dealt with immediately. We really appreciated his assistance in organizing the handyman to fix it! Excellent customer service! We thank-you for this and recommend your services and this house!"

"We rented this home for seven nights to celebrate my 40th birthday. We shared it with my parents, my brother's family of four and my family of four. First impression of the home and especially the outdoor space was simply impressive, as was the home's location. Kitchen was gorgeous, kids spent lots of time in the hot tub, playing ball in the front yard and using the owner's bean bag toss. We spent evenings outside and the kids loved the outdoor shower. The location allows everyone to really do their own thing, so we would take the young kids to playground or grassy park for soccer while my mom and dad walked to breakfast at Carolines or the french bakery and others went running on beach. Running up to old La Jolla is a good workout too and only takes 15 minutes. It should be noted that the beach was extremely crowded all week from morning to night, as was the park. This may not be ideal for those seeking quiet, but is great for kids as the breaks are not pounding and even my five year old boogie boarded (thanks to boogie board and long board in garage!) Walking down to Avenida de La Playa was nice if we didn't feel like driving up the hill to Old La Jolla (great shopping up there too and all the best views). The first two nights, everyone complained of the house being hot, but it was unseasonably hot and not enough to take away a star as this was a beautiful home right in the heart of it at a fair price! Thank you!!"

"We stayed here for five nights in May 2015. The location was ideal for us. We found the unit to be clean and pretty well cared for. Having a garage in this neighborhood was a big plus. The area is very quite at night and you can hear the surf if you open the windows. The kitchen was not as well stocked as other rentals that we have had therefore, we did not cook very much. The grill had a tank of gas installed and a spare. We were able to use the front patio every day (even in the mornings). Pillows need to be replaced. There are plenty of towels. There is a great supply of stuff that you need to go to the beach (including chairs and umbrella) in the garage. All in all, it was a great stay."
