"This is the second time we have rented this home for our annual extended family vacation. The view from the master bedroom deck on the second floor is spectacular, the large kitchen/dining/living room open space is ideal for a large group, the beds are very comfortable, and the manager very responsive to the small things that needed attention while we were there. The kitchen is well supplied which makes it nice to prepare meals and not have to eat out more than one wants. The walk to the beach just takes a few minutes and the home is conveniently located a few minutes drive to grocery shopping and La Jolla Village. Also close to Birch Aquarium, convenient to San Diego Zoo, and Torrey Pines hiking area. We plan to return every summer."

"We had a nice stay. The proximity to the ocean was great (about 1/2 mile - 10 min walk) The house functioned for us well with the kids. We brought 2 - 11 year olds, a toddler, and a newborn. The backyard was one major reason we chose this property and we would just leave the doors open and our toddler could just come in and out. Our only complaint would be the noise at night. The house is on the main blvd, right at a major light. The guy next door drives a motorcycle and idles it for awhile before he leaves. These two reasons made it so we were unable to sleep with the windows open at night, leaving the house pretty warm. Since there weren't enough fans in the house (and no AC) we ended up buying one and leaving it there. All in all we had a very nice stay."

"Our family had an incredible 10 days at this beautiful beachfront property. Surfing during the day with dinners on the deck at night, it could not have gone any better. The home is beautiful and the owner is a sweetheart who really cares about making your experience the best it can be. Highly recommend!"

"We had a great time in this La Jolla gem! Six of us (including our daughter, son-in-law and two grandkids) thoroughly enjoyed being able to walk to La Jolla shores beach, but the house itself was also totally wonderful--very clean, nicely laid out with the master suite for us and the other two bedrooms and bath for them. Loved the shower, bath/shower and kitchen renovations. Even though it is a short block away from La Jolla Shores Drive, we heard no traffic noise other than a car that needed some muffler work! The view up to the Hillside Drive area and to the eastern hills is lovely, helped by the perfectly clear and bright days we were fortunate to have during our stay. The two-car garage is really great because street parking can be tight in this area. The beds are all very comfortable. The kitchen is lovely and well-equipped. Having the front gated area PLUS the back courtyard (complete with a fully loaded lemon tree!) for the kids to play safely was a real bonus. There is a pack n play in the bedroom closet. Since this wasn't mentioned in the listing, we had rented one with an additional softer mattress for our 19-month-old grandson, so probably he slept a bit better on the rental than on the basic mattress. We had a great time and would recommend this house to anyone looking for an authentic, traditional La Jolla experience!"
