Pretty Perfect for Us
"For a reunion with my two sisters this was great (and would work well for larger group, too). Loved the location, cleanliness, great beds, and quiet! Restaurants were great and easy to walk to and a little kayaking in the bay was very fun and also just a walk away."

Terrific Place with genuine Old-Style Glamor in La Jolla Shores
"So glad we stayed here! Its near UC and Scribbs, and less hectic than the shopping and museum district. We were two couples on holiday, and this very private 3 bedroom suite, mediterranean-ranch compound was calming and beautiful. Centrally located, yet easy to get anywhere, we just went a few blocks down the hill to the beach for a lovely dinner. Its a 20 minute walk and a great workout on foot. The gated compound is perched on a level green hillside with no steps, and no immediate neighbors. The view is an unobstructed 180 degree panorama of La Jolla Cove, from an elevation of 200+ feet. There’s a wall of glass in the oversized and open living and dining rooms, and the view is basically filled with blue ocean and puffy clouds. Evening light glowed from the village and the stars, and looked just perfect from the comfy 9’ couch. There’s four separate areas of outdoor space to relax in, a lovely tiled heated pool in a central piazza for gatherings; the grassy knolls were perfect for wine or lounging, and good for seniors, kids, or pets. The master suite was oversized with direct pool access; the hall and entry was gracious with a silk cover settee and lovely marble topped bureau. It has antique and international decor throughout, in a quiet palate. The kitchen/small family room combo opens onto a nice fenced greenbelt. There’s art, linens, dining sets and cookware, a fireplace, and a washer/dryer. Just did not want to leave…it was relaxingly beautiful."

"Our stay in this house couldn't have been better. As mentioned by a previous reviewer, the home is very well kept and equipped with anything you could need for a stay near the beach. It was an easy drive to any of the San Diego attractions, and even better was the easy walk to the beach. The house is the perfect calm place to hang out between outings or just to take a break from the ocean. The last few days we stayed strictly in LaJolla Shores - no other area could compare with its beauty, walkability, lovely restaurants and lack of traffic.
Just a note: the stairs to the master bedroom could be a problem for someone with limited mobility, but they were no problem for us or our toddler."

"We stayed here for five nights in May 2015. The location was ideal for us. We found the unit to be clean and pretty well cared for. Having a garage in this neighborhood was a big plus. The area is very quite at night and you can hear the surf if you open the windows. The kitchen was not as well stocked as other rentals that we have had therefore, we did not cook very much. The grill had a tank of gas installed and a spare. We were able to use the front patio every day (even in the mornings). Pillows need to be replaced. There are plenty of towels. There is a great supply of stuff that you need to go to the beach (including chairs and umbrella) in the garage. All in all, it was a great stay."
