Great location in La Jolla Shores
"We stayed here for five nights in May 2015. The location was ideal for us. We found the unit to be clean and pretty well cared for. Having a garage in this neighborhood was a big plus. The area is very quite at night and you can hear the surf if you open the windows. The kitchen was not as well stocked as other rentals that we have had therefore, we did not cook very much. The grill had a tank of gas installed and a spare. We were able to use the front patio every day (even in the mornings). Pillows need to be replaced. There are plenty of towels. There is a great supply of stuff that you need to go to the beach (including chairs and umbrella) in the garage. All in all, it was a great stay."

"My family and I stayed at the property for three nights in March of 2015. We had five adults and two small children in total.
There was plenty of room for everyone, although we decided not to use the sleeper in the foyer as it wasn't exactly a private space. The house is an older property, and had some minor issues, but the host was very attentive and did his best to fix anything we asked him to as quickly as possible. During the day the property does get quite warm, and we couldn't figure out how to cool it down effectively, but it wasn't a major problem as we were out of the house most of the day. For the price, it was a good value overall, and I would recommend it to others."

"We had a great time in this La Jolla gem! Six of us (including our daughter, son-in-law and two grandkids) thoroughly enjoyed being able to walk to La Jolla shores beach, but the house itself was also totally wonderful--very clean, nicely laid out with the master suite for us and the other two bedrooms and bath for them. Loved the shower, bath/shower and kitchen renovations. Even though it is a short block away from La Jolla Shores Drive, we heard no traffic noise other than a car that needed some muffler work! The view up to the Hillside Drive area and to the eastern hills is lovely, helped by the perfectly clear and bright days we were fortunate to have during our stay. The two-car garage is really great because street parking can be tight in this area. The beds are all very comfortable. The kitchen is lovely and well-equipped. Having the front gated area PLUS the back courtyard (complete with a fully loaded lemon tree!) for the kids to play safely was a real bonus. There is a pack n play in the bedroom closet. Since this wasn't mentioned in the listing, we had rented one with an additional softer mattress for our 19-month-old grandson, so probably he slept a bit better on the rental than on the basic mattress. We had a great time and would recommend this house to anyone looking for an authentic, traditional La Jolla experience!"

"For a reunion with my two sisters this was great (and would work well for larger group, too). Loved the location, cleanliness, great beds, and quiet! Restaurants were great and easy to walk to and a little kayaking in the bay was very fun and also just a walk away."
