  • Nice, comfortable, quiet

"Stayed in this condo for a week. Furnishings are nice, great location. Best for older guests, as the neighbors prefer quiet, early to bed visitors. Had a great time!"

  • Cleanest vacation home I had ever stayed in

"My family really enjoyed staying with Linda for three days. I have stayed in a few vacation homes and this is the cleanest of all of the homes I have ever been to! The "haus" is also much better than the pictures. It is fairy spacious for 3 adults and 2 little kids. The other part that I love about this place is how well stocked it is. Everything you imagined and needed are in the kitchen, and there are plenty of nice big towels for the bathroom or the beach. I would definitely stay here again."

  • Great location, clean and comfortable!

"We stayed at Fern Glen over Christmas 2014. The house is located on a quiet, residential street and is only a 2 minute walk to the ocean, close to great restaurants and a grocery store. The house was very comfortable and very spacious for our family with 2 teenagers. We loved coming back to the house to relax after a day of adventure! We had everything we needed and appreciated being able to do laundry. We were a little surprised that the ensuite was off the second bedroom and not the master, but it was great that our kids had their own bathroom. The two double beds in the second bedroom worked wonderfully for our son and daughter and all beds were extremely comfortable. We had some problems contacting Lisa just prior to our arrival which surprised me because she had responded so quickly all other times we had contacted her but when she did contact us, she explained she was out of the country on vacation. Arrangements for the rental were easy to make. We would definitely stay here again! We loved spending Christmas at this house!"

  • Terrific Place with genuine Old-Style Glamor in La Jolla Shores

"So glad we stayed here! Its near UC and Scribbs, and less hectic than the shopping and museum district. We were two couples on holiday, and this very private 3 bedroom suite, mediterranean-ranch compound was calming and beautiful. Centrally located, yet easy to get anywhere, we just went a few blocks down the hill to the beach for a lovely dinner. Its a 20 minute walk and a great workout on foot. The gated compound is perched on a level green hillside with no steps, and no immediate neighbors. The view is an unobstructed 180 degree panorama of La Jolla Cove, from an elevation of 200+ feet. There’s a wall of glass in the oversized and open living and dining rooms, and the view is basically filled with blue ocean and puffy clouds. Evening light glowed from the village and the stars, and looked just perfect from the comfy 9’ couch. There’s four separate areas of outdoor space to relax in, a lovely tiled heated pool in a central piazza for gatherings; the grassy knolls were perfect for wine or lounging, and good for seniors, kids, or pets. The master suite was oversized with direct pool access; the hall and entry was gracious with a silk cover settee and lovely marble topped bureau. It has antique and international decor throughout, in a quiet palate. The kitchen/small family room combo opens onto a nice fenced greenbelt. There’s art, linens, dining sets and cookware, a fireplace, and a washer/dryer. Just did not want to leave…it was relaxingly beautiful."
