"Parking was a issue a few nights but w patients we could find a place and not have to walk to far. Good location with close by beaches and shopping the Kitchen is good and stocked with all cooking needs. The towels are big and soft also includes Beach towels two bikes and some boogie boards for catching waves. Not for a loud group tho as its a very quiet location out side neighborhood dogs which where not bad. Extremely clean and an easy to use lay out! Comfortable bed and couch!"

  • What a lovely home AND location!

"This home was nicely appointed, clean and welcoming. So many VRBO homes can feel either cold and staged or overly lived in. We felt right at home the moment we walked in. And the owner, Ray, was just fantastic. We had the chance to meet him in person and he is such a great guy! The beach was only a short walk away and the outdoor yard areas were unique and comfortable. We would love to stay again!"

  • Good house for extended family

"My family stayed here for Christmas week. The upstairs had doors we could close, ideal for our bunch of noisy kids. Even with 14 people, there was plenty of hot water—no cold showers! The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and the linens were nice. Although, a bedroom suite on the main floor was awkward as you had to pass through another bedroom to enter it or use its separate exterior door. The location is okay. The street is busy during the day but quiets down at night so you can sleep. The grocery store and many other shopping locations are five-minutes away. The beach due west has nice sand and isn't crowded. The kitchen has a lot of supplies, but they are scattered, so you have to hunt for things. The upstairs apartment has no fridge or stove, just a toaster oven, a microwave, dishwasher, and wine cooler. We would have preferred a stove and fridge, especially since there is a space for them. Including them would make this second story apartment ideal as a stand alone rental. When we arrived, we found that the property had not been cleaned adequately, but, we contacted the property manager and they sent someone out the next morning and cleaned again and got it right. Also, the property is showing wear and needs some attention. For instance, the leather sofa cushions have spots that are worn and should be replaced. There are also a lot of dings in the walls that should be patched, and there are some areas that need touch-up paint. That being said, it is a good property and one that our family would rent again for a big family gathering, provided the wear issues were addressed and it was clean upon arrival."

  • Our recent stay in in La Jolla

"When we arrived at this home in La Jolla, we found it to beyond what we could have hoped for. The home was everything it was advertised to be and more. The property was very well maintained and the owner not only answered our questions, but made us feel comfortable from the first day. The home is fully furnished, spacious, and had outstanding appliances and plenty of dishes, etc. We had 4 children from 3-12, and five adults, and we could accommodate everyone comfortably. We were close to so many activities, we were never bored. We were able to make our day trips to the beach, the zoo, the safari park, take a cruise around San Diego Bay, go to a baseball game and come home each day so the kids could swim and spend time together. I don't believe we ate dinner out one evening--we could be comfortable and enjoy preparing our own meals while we were there, and there were grocery stores nearby. Even though this home belonged to someone else, we felt as if it were ours for an entire week. If we go back to the San Diego area, I hope this home is available because I cannot imagine staying anywhere else."
