  • Our Enchanted Family Vacation at the Cottage

"I love reviews. They are good for promoting great property etc. and helping others when things aren't what they say they are. This was our first beach rental ever. We wanted a property that would allow our entire family of six adults to be together and not feel cramped. Everyone except me is over six feet tall so we needed big beds too. From the moment we met Laura at the cottage we knew we had made the right decision. Being that she has lived at this property for many years she was most helpful in pointing out all the little details that would make our stay more comfortable. If you are looking for modern, contemporary, upbeat, this is not a property I think you would enjoy. However, if you want family time, amazing views, comfortable beds with the softest sheets I have ever slept on, quiet evenings where all you can hear is the surf, beautiful sunsets and an easy walk to town, then this is your rental. Having a washer and dryer makes your stay even more like being home so you won't need to take all the clothes we did this year. Every bedroom has its own sitting area outside which is so unbelievable. The owners had just purchased all new patio furniture and we felt so fortunate to have this extra space. We did lots of BBQ and outdoor meals which was again so special to our family. The amenities provided were so appreciated. One problem and it isn't the fault of the cottage is the cell service is very poor in most areas. A great fix to this is there is a land line for your use which is very convenient. It was actually really nice not having our cell phones ringing. There was a huge (60 inch at least) HD TV in the living room. All bedrooms also had wonderful flat screen TV's but we rarely turned them on. There is a two car garage and YES we did get both a jeep and Grand Cherokee Jeep in there. The cottage also has lots a fans for every room so no need to drag that along as we did. The family room has a large coffee table which was fantastic for working on our 1000 piece puzzle. These are all little notes about how enchanting this time was while we stayed 10 days at the little pink cottage. We can't wait to go back next year again. We also worked with Gabriela who was very efficient and met the owner while checking out, Sara Long. Darling woman bringing in more new furniture pieces to make this special place even nicer. We were all sad as we left our little enchanted cottage but are making lots of plans for our return!"

  • Comfortable and convenient

"Our stay at the Pottery Barn was delightful. The ambiance and amenities were plentiful and useful. Driveway parking was very convenient. The home was clean and nicely maintained. The location, a 3 block walk to the beach, 4 block walk to the dog park and bike path, good neighborhood restaurants and 15 minute walk to The Village, made the joys of La Jolla very convenient. Barbie, the property manager, was delightful and responsive to our requests, questions, maintenance issues, etc. The big back yard was a fabulous playground for our dog."

  • Cleanest vacation home I had ever stayed in

"My family really enjoyed staying with Linda for three days. I have stayed in a few vacation homes and this is the cleanest of all of the homes I have ever been to! The "haus" is also much better than the pictures. It is fairy spacious for 3 adults and 2 little kids. The other part that I love about this place is how well stocked it is. Everything you imagined and needed are in the kitchen, and there are plenty of nice big towels for the bathroom or the beach. I would definitely stay here again."

  • Location, location, location

"Very nice spacious condo in a great location. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. Indoor parking, close walking distance to the beach and to many restaurants along with the shops in the village area. I sat on the balcony each morning watching and listening to the waves. The owners and property manager were very nice to deal with as well. We would definitely rent this condo again. Thanks for a great stay."

Village of La Jolla Travel Tips

The Village of La Jolla Vacation Apartments near the Beach

Located in the northern city limits of San Diego, La Jolla is an affluent resort community set along the Pacific Ocean in Southern California. The local economy is supported by the stores, dining and tourism. Similar to most of Southern California, the landscape is a mix of sandy beaches and rocky shores. This is an excellent area for outdoor activities with many nearby San Diego vacation rentals available.

There are many excellent places to stay most near the many activities found at the beach. Many of the Village of La Jolla vacation apartments are situated right on the Pacific coastline, close to numerous beach attractions. World-famous diving site, La Jolla Cove, is a popular attraction situated in the La Jolla ecological preserve. While in the cove you will experience amazing tidal pools, world-class snorkeling and a plethora of wildlife to view. The best aspect of this incredible attraction is the cost—it's free. Once the incredible journey is complete, you can get nestled back into one of many Village of La Jolla vacation apartments for a good night's sleep.

Unparalleled Golfing

The Village of La Jolla vacation homes are a great place to stay while hitting the links. At Torrey Pines Golf Course, there are two PGA courses which are kept in immaculate shape. The North and South courses provide stunning views of the Pacific Ocean while offering world-class golfing.

A Great Aquarium Around the Corner

Also located in La Jolla is the world-renowned Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California—San Diego. On the campus of the institute is the Birch Aquarium, which features over 60 habitats of fish and invertebrates from the Pacific Northwest, Mexico and the Caribbean. Also, there is an interactive museum that displays new discoveries made by scientists from the Scripps Institution on Earth, Ccean Science and Climate. Many Village of La Jolla vacation homes are right around the corner from the Scripps Institution.
