Recent Village of La Jolla property reviews

  • Comfortable and convenient

"Our stay at the Pottery Barn was delightful. The ambiance and amenities were plentiful and useful. Driveway parking was very convenient. The home was clean and nicely maintained. The location, a 3 block walk to the beach, 4 block walk to the dog park and bike path, good neighborhood restaurants and 15 minute walk to The Village, made the joys of La Jolla very convenient. Barbie, the property manager, was delightful and responsive to our requests, questions, maintenance issues, etc. The big back yard was a fabulous playground for our dog."

  • Lovely location

"We spent a relaxing 6 days at Sunset Cottage before our son's wedding in downtown San Diego. Very comfortable, great views, close to everything you might need, very clean and well maintained. I put a lot of faith in trip advisor's reviews and am happy to report they're all true. Francis & Katharina were terrific from the get go- in making the arrangements and being available during our stay. We had a minor problem with the bathtub and Francis was there to fix it right away. There's a handy booklet that they put together with all sorts of helpful information and were kind enough to leave their Von's (supermarket) club card which we made good use of. Thank you for making our stay in LaJolla so enjoyable!"

  • A coastal gem!

"My family (myself, my husband, our five year old son, and my Mother) just returned from a fantastic week in beautiful La Jolla. One of the highlights of our trip was staying in this lovely home just steps away from La Jolla Cove. The home has been well cared for and was well stocked with all the necesssities for a lovely stay. The owner had thoughtfully stocked the house with a nice bottle of wine, cookies, fresh fruit, and snacks which were greatly appreciated upon our arrival. The owner greeted us upon arrival to turn over the keys, provide any local recommendations for the area, and to show us around the house. This house is perfectly situated for a family with young children as it is directly across the street from the beach (so no worries if you need to make a quick trip to the potty), and it has a fenced in front and back yard for relaxation or playing. It is also one of the most perfectly situated houses to watch the sunset every day. We had a fabulous time and so enjoyed our stay here. We all left feeling rested and restored after a nice week of being lulled to sleep each night by the sound of the waves rolling in."

  • Graduation Stay!!!

"We were included in a Graduation celebration with family (tho' I was not the one that found your home) and had the most wonderful time in your home. The location was amazing and so central to everything. The decor in the home was relaxing and beautiful. It was the perfect house to entertain and celebrate a college graduate. We will keep your information handy and plan to try to return at another time. When the word gets out about how nice your place is, I am sure the list to stay will be a long one. Thank you so much for allowing our family to be together and share in the joy of just that!!! Love, love, love the place :-)"

Village of La Jolla Travel Tips

The Village of La Jolla Vacation Apartments near the Beach

Located in the northern city limits of San Diego, La Jolla is an affluent resort community set along the Pacific Ocean in Southern California. The local economy is supported by the stores, dining and tourism. Similar to most of Southern California, the landscape is a mix of sandy beaches and rocky shores. This is an excellent area for outdoor activities with many nearby San Diego vacation rentals available.

There are many excellent places to stay most near the many activities found at the beach. Many of the Village of La Jolla vacation apartments are situated right on the Pacific coastline, close to numerous beach attractions. World-famous diving site, La Jolla Cove, is a popular attraction situated in the La Jolla ecological preserve. While in the cove you will experience amazing tidal pools, world-class snorkeling and a plethora of wildlife to view. The best aspect of this incredible attraction is the cost—it's free. Once the incredible journey is complete, you can get nestled back into one of many Village of La Jolla vacation apartments for a good night's sleep.

Unparalleled Golfing

The Village of La Jolla vacation homes are a great place to stay while hitting the links. At Torrey Pines Golf Course, there are two PGA courses which are kept in immaculate shape. The North and South courses provide stunning views of the Pacific Ocean while offering world-class golfing.

A Great Aquarium Around the Corner

Also located in La Jolla is the world-renowned Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California—San Diego. On the campus of the institute is the Birch Aquarium, which features over 60 habitats of fish and invertebrates from the Pacific Northwest, Mexico and the Caribbean. Also, there is an interactive museum that displays new discoveries made by scientists from the Scripps Institution on Earth, Ccean Science and Climate. Many Village of La Jolla vacation homes are right around the corner from the Scripps Institution.
