  • Delightful Diamond-In-The-Village Apartment Near Everything La Jolla!

"Our best stay when visiting San Diego for a yearly business conference! Will DEFINITELY stay here again!! For 2 adults, it's a perfect size. Good-sized kitchen, comfortable living area, a small-sized bathroom BUT it works for us, outdoor patio AWAY from the busy street, laundry facilities on property, and your own garage (the deal breaker when we were researching rentals!) The property sits next to a pub and the noise from there was not too bad. The people on the next property were quiet so that didn't bother us. The only suggestion we'd like to see the next time we visit would be to place a thick cushion on-top of the futon bed to make it more comfortable. We are a very active couple who surfs, paddle boards, runs/walks during the day and a more cushiony bed would be ideal. The unit has no A/C so I'm not certain we'll be visiting during the summer months, but hopefully will return during the not-so-hot times in SD!"

  • Good house for extended family

"My family stayed here for Christmas week. The upstairs had doors we could close, ideal for our bunch of noisy kids. Even with 14 people, there was plenty of hot water—no cold showers! The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and the linens were nice. Although, a bedroom suite on the main floor was awkward as you had to pass through another bedroom to enter it or use its separate exterior door. The location is okay. The street is busy during the day but quiets down at night so you can sleep. The grocery store and many other shopping locations are five-minutes away. The beach due west has nice sand and isn't crowded. The kitchen has a lot of supplies, but they are scattered, so you have to hunt for things. The upstairs apartment has no fridge or stove, just a toaster oven, a microwave, dishwasher, and wine cooler. We would have preferred a stove and fridge, especially since there is a space for them. Including them would make this second story apartment ideal as a stand alone rental. When we arrived, we found that the property had not been cleaned adequately, but, we contacted the property manager and they sent someone out the next morning and cleaned again and got it right. Also, the property is showing wear and needs some attention. For instance, the leather sofa cushions have spots that are worn and should be replaced. There are also a lot of dings in the walls that should be patched, and there are some areas that need touch-up paint. That being said, it is a good property and one that our family would rent again for a big family gathering, provided the wear issues were addressed and it was clean upon arrival."

  • We found Perfection

"We stayed in this home back in April for a mini-family reunion. The house is even better in person than it is in the pictures and description. The home is set up extremely well for multiple or large families and is very well-appointed with everything you would need for a perfect beach vacation, including beach gear, a great kitchen with many supplies, every appliance and amenity you can think of, an amazing home entertainment system, and central location to walk to retail and restaurants. The beach is something out of a dream and the views from all three decks cannot be adequately described in words. The owner is extremely helpful and goes to great lengths in the tour and a manual he has prepared to answer every question that could ever be raised. He is also a good source of local information and provides spot on recommendations and reviews of local sites and restaurants. We stayed for a week and no one was ready to leave. This is an amazing house in an amazing location. We have zero complaints or regrets and we cannot imagine vacationing in the San Diego area again unless we can stay in this house. There are not enough stars to properly rank this property and its owner. Hats off to cliff for giving us the best family vacation ever."

  • Perfect for our family

"This condo was just right for our family of seven and provided a perfect spot for our spring break getaway. You just can't beat the location as it is close to shops, an easy walk to the Cove, and a quick drive over to La Jolla Shores. Parking is underground and it is a bit of a pain to lug everything up and down the stairs. We actually had to unload some bags from the rooftop basket on our car since the clearance in the garage is so low. It was a minor inconvenience and when we got inside we found the condo to be even more spacious than we imagined and the layout perfect for our family. We used both king sized beds, the blow up mattress, and the pack and play and had plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The communication from the time we booked until we checked out was great. The owner was responsive and we received our damage deposit back in a very timely manner. Everyone in our family had a great time and we all agreed that we would be back again. Thanks for the great stay!"
