  • Texas family

"This is the second time my family rented this house for a family get together. The house is wonderful. The location is fabulous. The house was well stocked with plenty of towels and items necessary for a family gathering. The bathrooms are luxurious and modern. We will make this an annual gathering spot."

  • Loved it!

"This place was among our favorites of the last few years. Pros: View. Look out the back windows at the beautiful pool, beyond that you see the wonderful downtown of La Jolla, and beyond that you see the ocean. Pretty spectacular. Sunsets - WOW! The home is well-maintained and the owner was a great guy eager to show us around. Close to tons of great restaurants and the beach. Cons: None. We loved it. Had a great time and would highly recommend it. It was particularly fun trying to figure out who the people in the pictures on the wall were (hint - they are famous and they are the family of the owner)."

  • quiet, clean and quaint

"My husband and I had a lovely week at this cottage. All the amenities were there as other reviewers have noted. The bed is comfortable and the street parking was fine although you may have to walk a block or so. What we loved was how quiet it was and close to great beaches and museums. Don't miss the Farmers Markets at Oceanside and La Jolla. Thanks Sary for a good holiday cottage."

  • Wonderful choice!

"We stayed for a week and our son brought his family down from LA for most of the time. It was perfect for the 6 of us. My 8 year old G-Daughter had her own room with private patio outside where she was enchanted with a hummingbird on a nest. My wife and G-Daughter (early risers) would sneak off to the beach early in the morning and come back with tales of seals, surfers and shells. The view of sunset on the ocean is unsurpassed from the DR and LR. Several nice options for casual dining within a couple of blocks. We had dinner with the kids at Cafe Milano. Excellent, very reasonable food and wine and the kids loved it. We also stopped one evening at the Baskin Robbins. It is a convenient location for all the SD attractions. You don't even have to get on the freeway to go to Sea World. The owner, Dean was very easy to work with. We had an early flight out on our departure day, but my son's family met him. My 3 year old G-Son said he was a "cool guy, like Batman." All was as advertised and it was perfect for us."
