  • Excellent escape from SNOW!!!!!

"So, picture this...we live in Philadelphia...and had been HAMMERED with one severe storm after another...snow, sleet, hail, ice..you name we had it! The day after we left..Hit again 12-18 inches of snow...next day..ice storm. You get the idea!..However (: WE didn't have to deal with it because we were lucky enough to be in La Jolla...at The Guest House..What a jewel..it was so comfortable there...got to see our very dear friends...had a great time! So many things are available within walking distance..The Guest House is very private..charming in every way...and spotlessly clean... Scott, Ivetta and Arlene went all out to make us feel very welcome....Would truly love to go back...if you ever have a chance...contact Scott and stay at The Guest House! Perfection!!!"

  • Perfect vacation!

"My family and I wanted to relax and enjoy the beach and staying at Jackie's apartment rental could not have been more perfect for us! It had everything we needed, we walked in and immediately felt at home. It was such an easy walk to the beach and restaurants. The apartment was comfortable, extremely clean and the perfect size and location for my family of 4, and we can't wait to return next year! Thank you Jackie for a perfect vacation!"

  • Family retreat

"While the house served its purpose and was very pleasant, what was truly exceptional about our stay was the service from Bluewater. Every question or concern we had was dealt with beautifully; the Operations Director and his team made sure our stay was fantastic. Thank you."

Dining in La Jolla

- Brockton Villa: You’ll want to start the day with a delicious morning meal to provide you with plenty of energy, and one of La Jolla’s best breakfast places is Brockton Villa. Located in an old bungalow on a hillside above La Jolla Cove, this is a favorite spot among locals for a morning meal. With many egg options including a variety of steamers, pancakes and the house-specialty, coast toast french toast, there’s plenty to chow down on.

- Beaumont’s: Brunch is a favorite meal no matter where you are, and Beaumont’s a great place to dine. Situated in the Bird Rock seaside community, Beaumont’s offers a casual atmosphere and is a favorite meeting spot for La Jolla locals. Enjoy meal options like quiches, pancakes, eggs, salmon and bagels, or opt for something more savory like a Cuban sandwich, Beaumont’s burger or a croque madame.

- Puesto: For a delicious dinner out, try Puesto, a popular eatery serving up home-cooked Mexican street food. All meals are made-to-order and all salsas are prepared from scratch. Dine on traditional Mexican fare like chicken al pastor, carnitas and carne asada. There are vegetarian options as well including zucchini flower, soy chorizo potatoes and huitlacoche truffle.

- Michele Coulon Dessertier: If you have a serious sweet tooth, stop by Michele Coulon Dessertier. Here you’ll fill delicious sweet and savory offerings made from the best organic ingredients, like real butter and Belgian chocolate.
