  • One week in August

"The location is just amazing, half a block to the beach. There are very good restaurants and a lot of stores offering surfing, kayaking, snorkeling etc supplies just around the corner. The apartment its very clean and the interior is elegant and shows good taste. The outside patio is spacious enough to enjoy the beautiful weather of SD. (The BBQ didn't develop enough heat though.) The bedrooms are comfortable. Everything was just first class and looks even better than on the pictures! Also, the owners are very helpful and responded quickly. We can only recommend this place (to everyone... the location offers so many possibilities)."

  • Sea Dahlia is a class act!

"Our family of 5 adults and one baby stayed at Sea Dahlia over the Christmas holiday and had a wonderful time. The house is so much more than the pictures of it on VRBO capture. The owners were extremely thoughtful, helpful and accommodating. Something we never expected and loved was that the house was beautifully decorated for the holidays and included a live Christmas tree! The owners of Sea Dahlia thought of everything and I can honestly say everything we needed was at our finger tips. There is a great front porch to sit and enjoy your morning coffee, a beautiful patio with a grill, comfortable seating & a gas heater for a late night meal. We even found some ripe tomatoes in the garden for our salad. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to prepare and serve all your meals. The house was spotless and everything in it was high quality. The ocean, restaurants, grocery stores and shopping are all within walking distance and we didn't need a car during our stay. We all agreed that Sea Dahlia is where we'll stay next time we visit La Jolla. I miss our morning walks to the ocean where we watched the surfers. We highly recommend Sea Dahlia. We've rented various homes through VRBO and Sea Dahlia is by far the best we've rented. ~Family from Minneapolis, MN"

Traveling around La Jolla, you can appreciate the natural beauty surrounding the neighborhood, including the Pacific Ocean. As you explore the neighborhood, you can visit any of the many museums to learn more about the area or peruse a gallery to see magnificent works of art, then follow it up by a stop at a tasty fresh seafood restaurant to complete an amazing California vacation.

Dining in La Jolla

- Brockton Villa: You’ll want to start the day with a delicious morning meal to provide you with plenty of energy, and one of La Jolla’s best breakfast places is Brockton Villa. Situated in the Bird Rock seaside community, Beaumont’s offers a casual atmosphere and is a favorite meeting spot for La Jolla locals. Enjoy meal options like quiches, pancakes, eggs, salmon and bagels, or opt for something more savory like a Cuban sandwich, Beaumont’s burger or a croque madame.

- Puesto: For a delicious dinner out, try Puesto, a popular eatery serving up home-cooked Mexican street food. All meals are made-to-order and all salsas are prepared from scratch. Dine on traditional Mexican fare like chicken al pastor, carnitas and carne asada. There are vegetarian options as well including zucchini flower, soy chorizo potatoes and huitlacoche truffle.
