"We had a great time in La Jolla this year. The condo was clean and had every ammenity that we could want in a condo and for the beach. The location is great! It is right next to shopping and restaurants and an easy 3-5 minute walk to the beach."Guest: Kate Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 25, 2014View listing
"We rented this home for seven nights to celebrate my 40th birthday. We shared it with my parents, my brother's family of four and my family of four. First impression of the home and especially the outdoor space was simply impressive, as was the home's location. Kitchen was gorgeous, kids spent lots of time in the hot tub, playing ball in the front yard and using the owner's bean bag toss. We spent evenings outside and the kids loved the outdoor shower. The location allows everyone to really do their own thing, so we would take the young kids to playground or grassy park for soccer while my mom and dad walked to breakfast at Carolines or the french bakery and others went running on beach. Running up to old La Jolla is a good workout too and only takes 15 minutes. It should be noted that the beach was extremely crowded all week from morning to night, as was the park. This may not be ideal for those seeking quiet, but is great for kids as the breaks are not pounding and even my five year old boogie boarded (thanks to boogie board and long board in garage!) Walking down to Avenida de La Playa was nice if we didn't feel like driving up the hill to Old La Jolla (great shopping up there too and all the best views). The first two nights, everyone complained of the house being hot, but it was unseasonably hot and not enough to take away a star as this was a beautiful home right in the heart of it at a fair price! Thank you!!"Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 22, 2014View listing
"My husband, son & daughter-in-law and I were lucky enough to stay in this spectacular house for a long weekend. The pictures are very accurate, but don't prepare one for the delight of the view, the breezes, the access to all La Jolla has to offer. It was a great vacation. The house is stunning but also very peaceful, especially watching the water and water birds, and looking from the dining room out to the bamboo and zen rock in the side garden. The neighborhood is walkable, and offers views from each dead-end street, and some beach access. Everything else is a short drive away. We enjoyed the deck and the walks so much that we didn't do all the exploring I had planned, but we visited the beaches nearby, the seal beaches in La Jolla, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and several of the wonderful museums and gardens in Balboa Park. Be sure to catch a concert of the outdoor organ there, if you visit on a Sunday! And we ate, very well, at several restaurants in La Jolla and Pacific Beach, as well as "at home," where the kitchen is equipped with much better appliances than I have at home, very nice dishes, and all the kitchen gear one needs. (At last, a good peeler!) The house furnishings were very nice and nicely kept, but not intimidating. TVs are plentiful, and everything seemed to work quite well. I was especially in awe of how the owners and their helpers can keep all that glass so pristine! I only had one small concern, and the owner answered my text to her quickly and satisfactorily. The agent was also quick to answer my emails about the property and the check-in procedure. I'd recommend this house to anyone looking for someplace special to enjoy a beautiful part of the country. We visit once a year from the east coast and this made our trip a real treat."Guest: A guest from Chevy Chase, MD Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: May 28, 2014View listing
"This was our third visit and we hope to make many more over the years. This condo has all the comforts of home. The owners keep adding new touches, including upgraded bath amenities and a nice new couch. We love that it is walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants (try the new Vietnamese cafe around the corner), a good grocery store, pubs, and most importantly, the beach. Easy, off-street parking. Full kitchen and washer/dryer. Surf boards, beach bikes, and other stuff. Fast internet connection. Spotlessly clean. This place has been a real find for us and we think it will be for you too."Guest: Mark Date of Stay: November 2014 Review Submitted: November 20, 2014View listing
