  • La Jolla vacation

"We so enjoyed our stay near the ocean in this delightful condo close to all amenities; approximately 8 blocks to the beach. The condo had everything we needed; including a very comfortable king sized bed. It offered all the comforts of home- we would certainly recommend it to anyone, and stay there again! Happy Coloradoans"

  • The Queens Queens

"My friends and I get together every year for a week of relaxation and fun. This October we went to LaJolla and this home was recommended to us. It was one of the best vacations we've had! The home was absolutely beautiful, comfortable and cozy. The rooms were spacious and filled with lovely furniture. We felt so relaxed here and wished we could stay longer."

  • A perfect place for a family of 4 - great location!

"This home was exactly what we hoped it would be. Just enough room for all of us to have our own space. It was clean and comfortable. We were a short drive (or a long walk) to downtown La Jolla with many wonderful restaurants and shopping. We absolutely loved Windandsea beach which was just a couple blocks away. Great place to watch the surfers, sunbathe, play in the waves, and see the sunset. (If you have kids, bring a boogie board!) And it was only a short 15-20 minute drive to San Diego to see all the sites (Balboa Park, Zoo, Seaworld, Embarcadero). Great location! The manager was very responsive to any questions we had. The internet worked great. The only minor downside was the traffic noise on La Jolla Blvd when you left your windows open. We will be back!!"

  • Fabulous Rental

"My family and I recently spent a week here over spring break and enjoyed every minute of it. I am one of those people who puts a considerable amount of time into searching for places to stay when I travel because I want to be comfortable. However, I am also the type that knows what I like, so when I find something that appeals to me, I make an immediate decision--and this is what happened with the Hoffman house. Brant the property manager, responded to my email inquiry immediately. The contract was then emailed making the whole booking process very simple and pleasant. The house which is located in the Bird Rock area of La Jolla, looks exactly as photographed and I can assure you is in excellent condition. The furnishings are very modern and the home has a lot of custom touches like Japanese style screen walls that run on tracks, bamboo and slate flooring, and a sliding glass door unit that opens fully onto the patio. The house also is located on a large corner lot, one block from the ocean. One of my favorite areas of the house is the front deck which faces the water. Each morning I would sit and drink my coffee out there, and later in the afternoon enjoy some wine just looking out at the view and watching the military helicopters fly by. The deck has two chase lounges, ample seating, and charcoal bbq that we used a couple of times. Downstairs there is a small one bedroom apartment with kitchen. This unit has an external staircase only. As mentioned the house is on a corner lot, and this part of the street does have some activity due to it being nearby to town and a condo building being across the way. As shown in the photos, there are windows everywhere so it's sort of like being in a glass fishbowl. If you don't feel comfortable being exposed, the shades are all electric so you can adjust the different window zones by remote control. The kitchen in well equipped and has a wolf stove. As for the neighborhood, there is a park around the corner that overlooks the water and lots of large houses to admire. There is a CVS pharmacy and a Starbucks nearby that you can walk to and the closest food market was Haggens which did the trick. Further away is Vons and the furthest is Whole Foods. The Children's beach is about an 8 min drive and is a must to go to. The seals and sea lions are right there for you to look at. Pacific beach is less than a 5 minute drive. Downtown La Jolla has lots a great shopping and places to eat."
