"We spent a month in this fantastic condo; it's really the best location in the complex and affords great views and gets lots of sun. We have rented condos from VRBO for the past 10 years and I can say that this really is the best so far! We appreciated having so many restaurants and shops within walking distance (we enjoyed Lobster West, Union Tap, Fish House, and the Biergarten). Taking the train into San Diego was easy and inexpensive. Plus, the condo has everything you need to cook a meal-and then some! Very tastefully decorated. I didn't want to leave (especially since it was 10 below in Minnesota when we returned!)."

"The view from the two decks is unbelievable. Watching the sunset each night is something we wont forget. We saw dolphins and whales swimming. It is a couple block walk to all the shops, bars and places to eat. Moonlight beach is a 3 minute drive or about a 10 minute walk from the house. We enjoyed walking on the beach each day. The house is large, we had 8 people and had plenty of room. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool, we were worried the house would smell like a pool but it did not smell at all. It was an easy drive downtown and the zoo. The neighborhood was very nice and did not hear anybody around us."

"We stayed almost 4 weeks at this gorgeous house. The location was perfect. It is a 15 minutes drive from the beach and we never had to drive more than 10 minutes to get anywhere else; restaurants, cinema, the grocery store, nail salon, etc. is all very close. We were very impressed with the house as well. The back yard is heavenly, the beds were extremely comfortable and the sunsets absolutely sensational. The neighborhood seemed to be safe and comfortable. We had such a great vacation and would not have changed one thing. We never wanted to leave :) Peter"

"A colleague and I attended a conference at the Sheraton on Harbor Island in February. We like to have some distance from the actual conference hotel, so we looked around for alternative places to stay. I stumbled upon Mauna Aloha and inquired. Amos responded almost immediately and even called to make sure I got through the reservation process. He was perfectly clear in how to communicate with him when we arrived. We flew to San Diego on February 17th. I called Amos to tell him we had landed and he drove to the airport to get us! Who does that?
We stayed on the Mauna Aloha for four nights. The beds were so comfy and the rooms were perfect. We spent a lot of time on deck sitting at the table chatting and enjoying the harbor. There were plenty of hotels and a little market nearby, and taxis to go anyplace were regularly driving down Harbor Drive. The yacht stay was perfect! Word got out at the conference that we were staying on a yacht. People were so jealous. When I told them the yacht was less expensive than a sterile hotel room at the Sheraton, they were convinced. I hope Amos and Shari gets lots of reservations for their boats in the future. I highly recommend this fun place to lodge."
