  • Best Home Ever to Rent in Coronado !

"We have rented this home now twice--in July 2013 and July 2014--the home is incredible. There are so many things we love about it starting with the location. We come each year for Comicon and for surfing. For Comicon, it's a short walk to the ferry directly to the Sand Diego convention center and our children (ages 10-14) come and go without a car. For paddleboarding, swimming and sailing the house is on the bay so it's 20' to the water. For surfing it's only 3 miles down the beach to the best Coronado surfing spots. But the amazing home and its amenities pale by comparison next to the wonderful owners--who have lived on Coronado all their lives. They know everyone on the island, and everyone on the island (surf instructors, babysitters, etc.) knows and respects them. This house we were staying in was our calling card to getting terrific people to make this the best family vacation (twice now) we could have hoped for. We plan to rent it a third time in 2015 !"

  • Impromtu Mini Family Reunion

"We needed a vacation home that would accommodate 16 family members from GA, TX and MO. This house did just that and then some. Absolutely beautiful both inside and out. Other local family members came by a few times and we were very comfortable. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated. There were a few queen sized air mattresses available that made our sleeping arrangements (for the kids) even more comfortable. Laura was very hospitable, kind and a pleasure to work with. The Moonlight beach was within walking distance and very refreshing. We even caught a few yard sales in the area! All in all, we were extremely satisfied with this house."

  • Home for a few months

"To say this condo was great would be an understatement! My husband I stayed here for 2 months while we were waiting for permanent housing in CA. The condo was very comfortable, welcoming, and well stocked. Having only personal things with us was no trouble because the condo had everything! I was even able to bake cookies! The owner was more than helpful as was the staff on several occasions when I needed something out of the ordinary. My husband and I hope to return a weekend here or there even though we live just a mile away now. It was that great!"

  • Amazing location!!

"The location of this place is fantastic! We really enjoyed the beachfront location -- right on the sand! The sand along this stretch attracted folks during the weekends, but the weekdays were really quiet and peaceful. We appreciated how well-equipped the place was for families. Lots of sand toys for the kids, plenty of boogie boards, even a pack-n-play and a high chair for our littlest -- so nice to not have to haul gear like that through the airport! The property is really great for families traveling together. It's three levels and the lowest, sand-level area is very isolated from the rest. My in-laws used it and enjoyed some of the isolation it offered, as it's a separate little apartment connected to the rest of the house by a set of outdoor stairs. There are no bedrooms on the middle level, so it was very quiet and they weren't disturbed by our early-rising kids. But they ended up doing the two flights of stairs quite a bit to join the rest of the family for meals, etc. It's a great set-up for most folks who would use this size of house, but just a heads up that that bedroom/kitchenette might be a little troublesome for anyone with difficulty using stairs. We really enjoyed the sitting area on the upper level deck right off the kitchen, dining on the large middle level deck, and roasting marshmallows on the lowest level. So many great options and had a whole week to try them all out! And when we weren't at the beach house, it's just a short drive to all kinds of restaurants in Oceanside and Carlsbad. It was our first VRBO experience, so we had to adjust a little to the various rules of staying in someone's home versus a typical hotel situation (i.e., being more careful about sand and general clean-up). But it was a fantastic location and we really enjoyed ourselves."
