  • Summer stay

"Two of us plus our small dog had a wonderful summer in this home. The pictures provided give you an excellent picture of the home and it lakeview. The facility was very comfortable and clean. Any questions that arose were addressed immediately by the property manager, including bringing us a key at 9 PM on a weekend when we locked ourselves out. We used the pool often and enjoyed the Friday afternoon happy hours with the residents. Bob, the HOA manager, made sure that we were included in the Mall functions including a Bocce ball tournament the day before we left. Each of the five groups of guests who stayed with us for short periods enjoyed their stay and commented on the comfort of the accommodations. We played golf at six local courses which were both challenging and reasonably priced. Our grandsons took us to the Wild Animal Park which was great fun for all. My wife and friends helped the economy at the Escondido Mall and we supported local restaurants including our favorites for breakfast, Mama Kats, and barbecue, Phils. We plan to be back."

  • Best vacation ever!

"We had such an awesome time at this property. It was truly a home away from home, only better because the beach was nearby! From the moment we started the process of choosing a vacation property to stay at, we had nothing but positive feedback. The property manager told us early on in the process that we would need to bring only our personal belongings and smiles, and boy was he right! This vacation home ticks all the boxes! The kitchen is fully stocked, there are plenty of towels, free WiFi, laundry machines right in the was so relaxing to be able to know that everything was taken care of! And, clean? First time I haven't worried about re-cleaning dishes, etc. when renting! Everything about the property was as it was described by the owners, only maybe a little bit better in reality than the pictures! The entire property was well taken care of. The panorama view was breathtaking, the pool & jacuzzi were lovely. The only disappointing part of our entire stay was packing to go. We realized that even three weeks were not enough for us in this beautiful location, and would plan to stay for another three weeks next time! Yes, that DOES mean that we plan to come back to this place for another was THAT good!"

"This was our 30 day dream vacation. We are in our 70's, so from the start we got into a daily routine. (that's what we do). First I would start early by brewing the coffee and then walk 15 feet to go fishing off our dock (and I caught some big fish), while my husband "caught up" on the stock market. (That was a pun..lolol) Next we would have a leisurely breakfast on the sunporch reading the San Diego paper while watching all the wildlife swim by. Then we would take the hydro-bikes out for our hour spin around the lake to see what was going on. New docks were being installed, the restaurant is being remodeled, all things that we both liked watching the progress of because my husband was a custom home builder for 50 years. After our return I would start thinking about packing our lunch, which always included one beer and one glass of wine, bad habit, but only on vacation. (: Then we would launch the boat and go to the middle of the lake, put the boat in neutral, drift and listen to the quiet, all while having a wonderful lunch and spotting bald eagles and other wildlife. Then we would take a lazy 90 minute cruise around the lake, taking turns driving, is that what you call it? Back to the house.... and I must say we became very proficient at docking that 16' boat. Then we would relax, take a nap, read or do some shopping. The home has everything you need to relax, cook, & entertain; with the pool table, pizza oven.. oh and did I mention the view? And if you're really lucky you will get to see the pelicans do their nightly victory dance right in front of the house. If you want to know what that is I guess you will have to just rent the house to find out. Don't hesitate to make this your next vacation destination.... you won't regret it."

  • Our South California favorite vacation home

"We stayed for 2 weeks at this wonderful lakefront home. As a frequent US tourist we have used VRBO before and know that the description of the property sometimes could be a little too fancy. Well, not in this case. The description was accurate and the house was much better than the photos shown. It was clean and well-maintained. The area is safe as well as relaxing. Within walking distance we found Bon Bon Frozen Yogurt at 1030 La Bonita Dr. We highly recommend a visit if you like Frozen Yogurt! Only 5 minutes away there are several shopping areas where you could found everything from Starbucks – Five Guys Burgers and Fries - Albertsons – Ross – Fry’s etc. In the same area you will find Restaurant Row & Market Place (360 Via Vera Cruz) with many restaurants you could dine at. The owners were very easy to work with and a pleasure to do business with. If you are looking for a relaxing and calm place, relatively close to the hectic business life, ocean beaches and recreation areas, Golf courses etc. you will love this place."
