"Wonderful rental! The location was ideal. Encinitas is a charming beach town! The unobstructed view of Pacific Ocean from deck and living room is incredible. Very short walk North about 10 houses to get to beach access at Stonesteps. Keep in mind there are about 100 steps down and back up but well worth it. Beach was never crowded! Or you can walk a little farther South, still short walk, on street with no steps to get to Moonlight Beach which is bigger and has parking too.
We were 3 couples with one teenager. My only complaint would be the uncomfortable bed in basement room. A small upgrade to that mattress would make a huge difference. My son slept on the chair that folds out into a twin bed in the living room and that worked perfect for a teenager. There are also boogie boards & bikes in the garage to use.
Raquel was great answering any questions I had prior and during our stay. Love this rental and plan to come back again!"

"SD Rental - Vince Letter - 15
This is the third time that I have been back to this beach house rental and believe me, as long as they are renting out this beach house, I'll be back.. I love it that much! Vince and Bunny (the owners) are the nicest people and always are there to help out, give advice on where to go eat or what to do, Etc... Really Great people! I love San Diego and I have a very close relationship to the Carlsbad area, as I used to go to boarding school (as a kid) at The Army and Navy Academy located outside of the lil town.
This last time in SD, I came in with my parents, my Uncle and his wife. We were there to see my Cousin become the Bishop of San Diego. It was an amazing event and I was so happy to have found this beach house to stay, as everyone in my family was so comfortable and happy to be all together. There was more than enough room for everyone and a bit of privacy as well.. If needed. This is a very clean rental and we all had a great time!! With the beach a few steps away, the cute town of Carlsbad a quick ride away, the amazing amenities of the area and the grocery store so close, who could ask for anything more! There is also a fresh seafood market so very close to the house. We were able to enjoy a BBQ on the front deck facing the ocean and eat fresh fish all together, enjoying the sunset.. Trust me, you will not want to leave.. I never do. LOL.. No seriously, you'll see.. Mark my words. I only have great things to say about this place. It's everything you want it to be and so much more. I'm so happy to have found it, I'm actually planing another trip down this year. With planing to go back so very much, I will soon call SD my second home and I hope to soon call Vince and Bunny my close friends.
Take my advice and stay here. When you leave, you'll ask yourself why you ever stayed anywhere else.. It's that good. (:

Excellent, spacious house in an excellent location
"My friends and I (10 people total) stayed at this house, and it was a great experience. Has very spacious rooms, a huge backyard for grilling and outdoor field games, and is only a 10 minute walk from the beach. It's also only a few blocks away from some excellent restaurant & nightlife options. The owner was very accomodating. Highly recommend."

"If you are looking for a great place in San Diego to enjoy the beach, this is it! The home is plenty spacious and well stocked and maintained. The large windows make way for hours of beach and people watching. Prior beach vacations had not been on the boardwalk...now we can't imagine anything else! Having the extra lot on the side of the house provided a safe "yard" for the dogs to play and dig and simply enjoy the space! It would be a safe play area for young children as well. (Not to mention it provides a place for visitors to park.) The back patio area was perfect for enjoying the outdoors on windy days. Thank you for sharing your historic beach home with us, it was really wonderful! We have already booked our next visit!"
