"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Excellent experience. A couple of minor needs at the rental but they were quickly responded to and corrected. Only complaint. Would like to check in earlier but absolutely need a later check out. Will definitely recommend this rental as long as current condition is maintained. (Master bedroom carpet had some stains so may need to be replaced soon). Location was perfect. Jacuzzi cooled down too quickly. Already have had friends inquiring about property to rent it."

  • Classy Vacation Home with Everything you Could Want, and More! Highly Recommended.

"When we arrived at the house, we were first of all blown away by the beautiful architecture and facade of the home - in addition to the location! Beautiful sunsets and beach views abound - this home was absolutely a beautiful and perfect Southern California hideaway. The rooms were clean and the house was full of amenities that came in handy for the event we were holding. The hot tub was easy to use - as was the grill - and the only thing stopping us from taking advantage from the fire pit was the pouring rain! Although atypical for San Diego, we enjoyed our stay because the house made up for whatever errs Mother Nature would give to you. The extra rooms and cozy interior made for an awesome venue. We were able to cook our own food without any issue and kick it under the umbrellas and decks on hand at the house. The house is also a stones throw from the beach, all of the happening shops and restaurants down on Sunset Cliffs, and some of the typical tourist attractions like SeaWorld, Gaslamp, Liberty Station, the Zoo, and Point Loma. It was a gorgeous, wonderful weekend and the kind accommodating attitude of Ms. Sousa really added an extra flare to our stay. She was quick to respond and attentive to our needs, and had I not known the process for checking into this house through VRBO I would've thought I was staying at a top rated hotel property! Any issues were quickly addressed and everything seemed to be on point. There was also a fantastic bluetooth speaker system and outdoor grill that really kept everyone happy and in high spirits. The wine fridge came in handy as well! I highly recommend this house for anyone looking to getaway with their friends and family for a weekend in San Diego. Anybody looking for a good time is sure to find it in this beautiful and convenient location in Southern California. If you need a legitimate and comfortable beach house, look no further than the gem on Orchard Avenue."

  • Cute and spacious

"We just finished up a 5 night stay at Dennis and Mimi's. Overall, the unit was fantastic. Dennis gave us a quick tour as soon as we arrived and even provided a stool for my two boys to use at the tall bathroom sink. He was very friendly, always waving hello and giving us tips for the area. The unit itself is very clean and well-taken care of. Both bedrooms were surprisingly spacious; the bathrooms were huge! There is a lack of dining seating inside but our two boys were happy to eat at the breakfast bar. The kitchen is small but well-equipped. We did not make meals however and chose to eat out aside from breakfast and a few lunches. The only cons were no fan in the master (it did get a tad stuffy at night even with windows opened) and the steep, narrow stairway down. Easily doable for a 6 and 8 yr old but not so much for anyone with toddlers or knee issues. Also, there is no true beach access but we knew that coming in. The surfer trails down are steep but we did see a few easier ones we could of made it down; Dennis will give you tips for nearby access. If you have younger children, the cliffs are a tad unsettling. My 6 yr old is a tad sporadic and clumsy so we had to keep a hand on him at all times. Del Mar is a beautiful town but very very upscale. We had a hard time eating out with picky/restless kids but found plenty of casual dining options in the area. Overall, it was a great 5 night stay and I'd recommend it to friends and family."

  • Exceeded expectations!

"We just stayed here for a family reunion and birthday celebration with 14 people aged 16-83! Upper Meadow Lodge is amazing. The pictures truly do not do it justice. The great room is gorgeous, the kitchen is well equipped and has a high quality range and refrigeration. So many beautiful areas to sit and sip a cup of tea or hot chocolate and just take in the beautiful surroundings. Plenty to do inside and outside of the lodge. Hot tub, hiking, a huge selection of videos, books, games, ping pong, foosball all provided! We had a wonderful time and the management team (Diane, Chantal and Rei) were super helpful from beginning to end. Very quick return of security deposit was also a plus. Would definitely recommend and hope to return again one day!"
