  • Didn't want to leave!

"My wife and I spent one month at this property. We worked remotely the whole month so it was more than just a vacation. We settled in quickly and joined the wavehouse gym while there, got involved with the rowing club a short walk away, and borrowed bicycles to get around. It really was heaven being there and we did not want to come home to the cold and snow which awaited us. The unit was as explained in the description. The only thing that is a little misleading is that the common area on the ground floor is not too "common". It is right in front of somebody's else unit so it not comfortable to be sitting or grilling there. Mission beach is perfect for the outdoor lover, whether it is for exercising or just sitting on the beach. The unit is on the bay side, which we actually preferred over the beach side because it is more low key. Kelly was great in answering any questions we had and making sure we were happy. We stayed in the south unit, which is almost exactly the same as the north unit, but the second bedroom had a full bed instead of two twins, and the unit's view was not nearly as nice. Also, I use a wheelchair so accessibility was a concern. The beds are high and the bathrooms are tight, but the doorways are wide enough and the basics of what I needed where there (ie. elevator, wide doorways, no steps once inside the unit). With that being said, there is one small step to get into the building at street level. We would definitely recommend this unit to friends for family. The only consideration I think there would be is whether you want to be on ground floor or not. This unit is on the third floor so while the view is great, it is not as nice as being in right on the beach as on the ground floor. On the contrary, the third floor does give more privacy and security. All in all....great stay and best location. Everything you can possible want right outside your door."

  • Great Location

"We stayed in the apartment in March 2014. We had our son and preschool-age grandson with us. The accommodations are comfortable and clean, not fancy but nice. I was a little worried because of the previous review, however Patty was great and had everything we needed (and more). The screen door did stick a little, but it was in good condition. We were one block from the ocean and one block from the bay. Perfect location for walking, biking, etc. We did have a car but I think you could take public transportation or a taxi to many San Diego locations. There are many restaurants and a little grocery store close by. The rates are better than most given what you get and the great location. Our stay was great and I would recommend it."

  • Feel Like Home only @Beach Front

"We lived in Palo Alto, CA and we needed a short gateway for a few days. We contacted the owner, Al. He offered a few options. We decided to stay in this unit. After our arrival, the unit and location could not be any better. It felt like home. It was super clear and well recognized with all extra blankets and pillows. The owner's office was just across the street and very easily accessible. Al is very nice and helpful. We definitely recommend it to any family and will come back again."

  • The Millers of Tucson

"We just stayed here with our family in July 2012. We were very comfortable here! The condo is really in a great location. It is less crowded on the south end, yet close to anything you need. We loved the patio and enjoyed meeting the neighbors! At this location, you are close to the firepits on the ocean side, and the park area on the bayside. There are lots of boogie boards to use as well as bikes and scooters for the kids. Our kids LOVED it here! Ride your bike down to Joe's little market and pick up whatever you need, it will remind you of the little corner stores we used to have in the Midwest and East Coast!"
