  • Location,location,location!!!

"Our family of 12 rented both sides of this duplex and it was everything the owners said it would be. Family friendly decor and plenty of space, wonderful private fenced backyard (we also had 2 dogs) and parking which is hard to come by in the area. Wonderful restaurants, coffee shops, groceries and retail within two blocks. Something for everyone. Great beach close enough for our kids (ages 10 thru 12) to walk home if they got tired of the sun. Beach chairs, towels and umbrellas provided. Only a short cab ride from the airport but planes don't fly at night so no interrupted sleep. Our family thought it was the best vacation we ever had. Thanks for sharing this great property Tobi."

  • Compact but comfortable stay

"we just returned from our first trip in San Diego. We stayed in the studio space(one of three units)in Ocean Beach area. It was a compact well designed space. It is a 7 minute walk to the Olive Tree food store which has everything you need for a snack or small meal. The freshly baked breads and selections of cheese were great . You can also pick up beer and wine. The beach was a further 6-7 walk where you walk the pier or watch the surfers . The unit was stalked with toilet paper, paper towl, dish detergent and hand soap. We did arrive late from our flight and although there was tea and coffee in the unit we wish there had been an option to have some wine and snack available when we arrived late in the evening.Maybe an option for a fee?We used the city bus which was conveniently located one street over to Old Town San Diego(35). The unit is tiny but we had a comfortable stay. Unit was clean and the shower and spa were great, definatley would stay there again but would consider one of the larger units possibly . We felt quite safe behind the gates . Loved our visit to San Diego."

  • The Perfect Home Away From Home

"Maybe it was a combination of the perfect location, great weather, amazing home and downright pleasant owner. I stayed here with a few friends for three nights during Spring Break and I couldn't have asked for anything more. The home is located about 4 blocks from the beach which results in the perfect morning walk. There are several shops, restaurants and places to hang out around there. There's a tot lot/mini park and a full basketball court at a school just down the street. Upon arriving at the home we were greeted by Amy and she gave us a tour of the home fully loaded with the essentials. Convenient parking, spacious living room, bedrooms and kitchen made it a comfortable place to stay. After unpacking our bags we were eager to get the vacation started with a good meal & drinks and Amy's recommendation was right on point. She seemed to know the area well and was more than pleasant to work with from the moment I submitted the reservation request to check out. This is the perfect place to stay. The perfect getaway for a small family or a vacationing group."

  • Classy Vacation Home with Everything you Could Want, and More! Highly Recommended.

"When we arrived at the house, we were first of all blown away by the beautiful architecture and facade of the home - in addition to the location! Beautiful sunsets and beach views abound - this home was absolutely a beautiful and perfect Southern California hideaway. The rooms were clean and the house was full of amenities that came in handy for the event we were holding. The hot tub was easy to use - as was the grill - and the only thing stopping us from taking advantage from the fire pit was the pouring rain! Although atypical for San Diego, we enjoyed our stay because the house made up for whatever errs Mother Nature would give to you. The extra rooms and cozy interior made for an awesome venue. We were able to cook our own food without any issue and kick it under the umbrellas and decks on hand at the house. The house is also a stones throw from the beach, all of the happening shops and restaurants down on Sunset Cliffs, and some of the typical tourist attractions like SeaWorld, Gaslamp, Liberty Station, the Zoo, and Point Loma. It was a gorgeous, wonderful weekend and the kind accommodating attitude of Ms. Sousa really added an extra flare to our stay. She was quick to respond and attentive to our needs, and had I not known the process for checking into this house through VRBO I would've thought I was staying at a top rated hotel property! Any issues were quickly addressed and everything seemed to be on point. There was also a fantastic bluetooth speaker system and outdoor grill that really kept everyone happy and in high spirits. The wine fridge came in handy as well! I highly recommend this house for anyone looking to getaway with their friends and family for a weekend in San Diego. Anybody looking for a good time is sure to find it in this beautiful and convenient location in Southern California. If you need a legitimate and comfortable beach house, look no further than the gem on Orchard Avenue."
