  • Good Price, Fairly Close to Beach

"My family and I were pleasantly surprised at how big the house was on the inside. Outside, it looks rather modest. There was plenty of room for the 8 of us. The house is about a 10 minute walk to the beach - not bad for adults but a little long with 3 small children. Still, the price for the area was reasonable, and it's great that the house is so close to the train."

  • Exceeded our high expectations!

"After reading past reviews and seeing the online photos we had very high expectations of our stay at tremont villas, well, we walked in and grinned! It's enourmous and imaculate, everything sparkles and looks even better than the photos :) All the beds were very comfortable but the bed in the master suite was ridiculous, my mum compared it to being in a nest! Super comfy! Everything you need is here, there are a couple of markets just round the corner, we just found everything to be very convenient. Jody was really helpful and nice. We'd love to stay again :)"

  • Great Location

"Great location, beach front with a nice outdoor space. Perfect for families or groups of friends with 4 bedrooms and three baths. Large "picture" window in front was actually a sliding glass door that would not open. That was disappointing as the windows were dirty and took away from the great view. Kitchen door was also nailed shut. Very clean and we'll equipped kitchen."

  • Great accomodation comes at a price

"If you like seaside accommodation where you can hear the waves and have coffee on your deck while watching surfers, then this is the place for you. This property has three levels and we stayed on the top level which provides the best view. The balcony is large and is very private providing the neighbors are not home. The interior is spacious with ocean views from the living room, kitchen and the large master bedroom. Even in the smaller back bedroom you can hear the surf all night. All three levels have beach access and the yard is sandy with an older BBQ. However if there are tenants on the bottom level you might not feel comfortable using the area. Although not really a bargain, the spacious rooms and ocean view justify the high price. To get the most value you should share the accommodation as it will easily hold four people. Parking is limited and is likely a problem when all units are occupied. We stayed in March and used one of the two spaces available. Access is best for the top unit as the entry is at street level. The place is vintage with dated décor and could be kept cleaner. If you are there for the minimum four day stay then beware that you will be charged a hefty fee for cleaning, which is the same for people that stay much longer pay. We found the damage deposit onerous. Beware also that your money could be in limbo for a long time. It was six weeks before we received the deposit back as the money transfers are archaic. We booked late so had to send a US$ bank draft by registered mail from Canada, which is not cheap, in order to secure our rent. We have spoken with the owners, who are pleasant and eager to please, about the money transfer aspect and they say they are working to modernize the payment system – so be sure to clear this up before renting. To be fair, they are taking over from their ailing mother, who is likely more efficient as she normally handles the bookings. There are several grocery stores close by and the marina a few miles north had several restaurants and a seaside atmosphere. All in all we enjoyed our stay there."
