"We enjoyed our visit at Oceanside overall - the home is wonderful and charming. Very clean, spacious, with plenty of kitchen utensils and linens. Great location – 15 minutes’ drive to LEGOLAND, and 30-40 minutes to SeaWorld and San Diego. Nice neighborhood – near Oceanside Downtown.
The only downside is a close proximity to the railroad. The trains whistle as they pass the town. We got used to this after the first couple of nights.
We would recommend the house to our friends."

"My brothers, sisters and I wanted to get away for a few days for our spring break and we were very fortunate to have come across this house. Janice & Rich are so adorable, sweet and welcoming. The house itself is so cozy and really does feel like home. The location is perfect - the beach is less than a 5 minute walk and the downtown shops are less than ten minutes away. Carlsbad has some super cool, unique shops and restaurants. Our favorite lunch spot, that Rich suggested, was the Pizza Port. We went for ice cream two nights in a row at SubZero which is very close walking distance to the house. We made so many amazing memories and are already looking at our schedules to see when we can come back (and we just got back yesterday!)"

"The space is basic but exactly what we needed for a trip with two toddlers. The train going by through the day was a great distraction for them and at night we used a sound machine to stop the train noise. The best feature for us was the front yard, a great space for letting little ones loose and eating outside. We walked to the beach everyday, multiple times and walked the town as well. The space had all the necessities, even beach towels and beach toys! The owner was accessible and very personable. We will definitely be back in the future."

"This beach cottage is true to description, and exceeded our expectations. It is immaculate, much nicer than the pictures show, and had everything we needed. The location is wonderful within a really nice, safe, interesting, active beach neighborhood. We walked to the beach, the village, went to downtown San Diego via the coaster, had bbq dinners in the yard. It was the perfect size for our family (myself, husband, two five year olds), and all of the beach gear was provided. The wagon was our favorite and made daily and nightly walks to the beach a joy. Michael was right on property, helped us immediately with anything we needed, including tips for enjoying the area. We alternated heavy sightseeing days (Legoland, San Diego Zoo) with long, unstructured beach days, which truly felt like the perfect balance for our vacation)."
