  • Land's End # 15

"Trip Report Land’s End Cabin # 15 Oceanside CA 4/12/15 – 4/17/15 Pre-trip communication was awesome! The Owner, Nathan, was very helpful. He took the time to answer my many emails and questions very quickly. He even made great suggestions about area events and services. He was available by phone always and even helped talk us in through the one way and beach traffic! Arrival was smooth, Nathan was waiting in the parking lot of the complex and helped us get oriented. The cabin was unlocked and sparkling clean. The garages are terrifyingly narrow, we did not rent a car (Uber all the way!) so did not have to deal with that. It was available to any guests we had. They seemed used to the small parking and did not have any problem. Nathan provided a street parking pass to those that had larger cars and SUVs. While this rental was half of a duplex, there was never any noise from the other tenant. All the other guests and tenants were very friendly and helpful. It was a family environment, a few small children, even a family with a baby. Lots of older folks, no college party kids woohooo. Several guests had dogs, it was never a disturbance. The entire stay, including the weekend was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The cabin was nicely decorated with the usual starter supplies. Everything was clean and well maintained. There were plenty of kitchen supplies, I was able to cook a proper Sunday supper and serve four people with what was provided. The fridge and stove were newish and nice, it is an adjustment cooking with gas, be careful! There was a coffee maker, toaster and even a blender! Dishpan, Drainer and even a vase for flowers! Microwave is small but does the job. No dishwasher. Tip # 1 – Bring/get paper plates, second day I thought, why am I doing dishes at the beach! Also a supply of ziplocks was very handy! The sheets and towels were nice quality and freshly laundered. While the bathroom is small, it was modern and water pressure was fine. There were plenty of space heaters, each room had a ceiling fan. Nathan also provided a broom (used often!) and small mats to keep the sand at bay. Bed and futon were very comfortable and good quality. Nice TV, with extra HDMI cable! Standard cable service, wifi available. Tip #2, Best wifi is on the communal deck. Otherwise spotty, as well as spotty phone reception (it’s the beach, didn’t see one cell tower!). Hang out on the deck for heavy web browsing or downloading. I did bring a Roku ("

  • Two things...

"Overall this is a good property. The location is great for a SoCal vacation. We visited LA, Hollywood, San Diego, La Jolla, and Disneyland. It is right on the beach. You get the surf, and beautiful sunsets. There are two things that you should know. First, there is no AC. It may be abnormal for SoCal, but we had a couple of 85 degree evenings in the condo. Second, there is an empty lot beside the property. This empty lot is "beach access" for all of the locals coming down to swim, tan, and surf. Unfortunately, it isn't as private as we would have expected."

  • Oceanside Beach House

"We stayed at this beach house for a family reunion with our children and our 5 grand children. This house is right on the beach in Oceanside about 1 mile south of the pier. The views were amazing. The house is ideal for large families since it has 2 kitchens, 2 living areas, 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. It has a private beach area just before the public beach (which my grand kids affectionately named the sand box). The house came with boogie boards, sand toys and beach chairs. We brought our own surfboards. We thoroughly enjoyed nights on the upper deck with the fire pit on. I would sincerely recommend this property for a family reunion, girls getaway or romantic couples getaway. Our property manager Kim did a great job too. The house was just perfect for our family. We would definitely like to come back again next year!"

  • Christmas Vacation

"What a wonderful first family trip. From the start, the owner was warm, helpful and patient. I was anxious about the grand boys but they were so busy they only came in to eat and sleep!! The house is a home because of the love Mary leaves for all of us to share. She goes out of her way to accommodate each clients needs by providing everything she can so you can pack light. Amazing! My favorite spot was the rooftop deck all hours of the day and night. We hope to return again!!!! Thank you Mary 😊"
