"Parking was a issue a few nights but w patients we could find a place and not have to walk to far. Good location with close by beaches and shopping the Kitchen is good and stocked with all cooking needs. The towels are big and soft also includes Beach towels two bikes and some boogie boards for catching waves. Not for a loud group tho as its a very quiet location out side neighborhood dogs which where not bad. Extremely clean and an easy to use lay out! Comfortable bed and couch!"

"This is an amazing location in a true beach community. The owners are right on top of keeping this condo renter friendly. Love all the TV choices when we are 'beached out'. I felt ate 'home' very quickly. Thank you Ann and Rand. 'I'll be Back'."

Superb For An Intimate Family Reunion - 32 people, 4 nights, so many rooms, so much to do, excellent
"We recently had our first ever family reunion. There was a total of 32 of us (17 adults, 4 teenagers, 11 kids age 1-9). Utilizing the two guests houses, everyone had a room (the kids loved the bunk beds). We stayed for 4 nights and ate most of our meals in the estate (we hit the Costco in Temecula on the way down from L.A.). The kitchen in the main house is perfect for large groups with plenty of seating and tables outside.
There is so much to do here (pools, trampoline, movie theater, etc.) that our biggest problem was when we planned events away from the house (San Diego Zoo Safari and the Midway Aircraft Museum), nobody wanted to leave.
I highly recommend paying a little extra to have some of the ladies come and do some housekeeping and prep in the kitchen during your time there. We bought carne asada at Lilac Foods and they helped prepare an incredible taco dinner for a fraction of the cost of going out. The homemade salsas were amazing.
The stadium seating in the huge theater is perfect for getting the whole group together. And the game room is just ridiculous. Probably stayed up too late every night because there was so much to do.
I highly recommend this enormous palatial estate. Friendly people. Extremely clean. We couldn't have asked more for our first family reunion. If I can convince everyone in my family to fly in from all over the country again, we'll definitely be back."

"My family and I stayed at the casita for three months while my wife worked in California for a year. Although we initially lived in a rental house near the beach in Carlsbad before moving to this house, we loved being in the Elfin Forest area much better than the beach! The beach area was generally crowded and noisy with car traffic and the train. In contrast, the casita is located in a relatively remote area that will give you an idea of what much of California looked like before 40 million people moved in. The views from the windows were amazing and I loved not having to listen to noise pollution every day. There were many miles of hiking/biking trails that ran along streams and uninhabited hills. Living here was truly something that we will never forget. The casita was perfect for what we needed: very clean, fully furnished, and had all the necessary amenities such as A/C and washer/dryer. Albertson’s (in San Elijo village) was about a 5 minute drive from the casita and the beach was about 20-25 minute drive. Sandra and Jeano (owners) were friendly, accommodating, hospitable, and very responsive to minor issues that came up during our stay. In addition, the owners were very respectful of our privacy during our stay. Overall, we would not hesitate to stay here again if we return to southern California…we loved every minute of it!"
