  • Fantastic rental in the perfect location!

"This rental was fantastic. The apartment was clean and beautifully decorated, with high quality fixtures and an awesome view of petco park from the balcony. The location was convenient- my husband was able to easily walk over to his conference at the convention center, as well as several other restaurants/stores. We rented a car for longer trips around town, and we were pleased to have our own parking space in the garage right across from the elevators to the apartment. We were very impressed by helpfulness of the owners. We would definitely rent again. Thanks for providing an excellent rental, it made our first vacation away from our children that much more fantastic."

  • Petco Park Condo

"My wife and I have spent a month in this wonderful condo each of the last three winters and hope to return again this year. What a great location! From the eighth floor balcony you can see right in to the Padres ballpark. Our grandchildren love to play in the park across the street with a minature baseball park and playgound equipment. We walk to the convention center for the autoshow, to the dock for the ferry to Coronado, to Harbor drive for the Big Balloon Parade, and all over the Gaslamp district and waterfront. We even walked to Balboa Park and the zoo. The unit is well equipped for fixing your own meals and Ralph's, The Grocery Outlet, and Albertson's are walking distance. All three have plenty of parking onsite if you have too much to carry. If you don't like to cook there are literally dozens of restaurants to chose from within a 5-10 minute walk in addition to comedy clubs, theaters, movie houses and nightclubs. A 7-11 is on the corner and a great coffee shop across the street. The condo has a very comfortable living area with a dining area, sofabed (with a very comfortable inflatable queen mattress) and flat screen HDTV. They also have free Wi-Fi.There is ample closet space (we stored two golf bags and 3 suitcases) and we slept soundly in the master bedroom queen size bed. While you can walk almost everywhere, if you have a car there is reserved parking included that is convenient to the elevator. Diane and Joe are great landlords and quickly responds to any questions or tenant needs. One year Diane even met us at the airport to make it more convenient for us to pick up the key! We can't wait to come back!"

  • Great Condo in ideal location at reasonable price

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys city life. One half block to Petco Stadium and three blocks to GasLamp. The condo is extremely comfortable and relaxing. Enjoy your walks along the water as you continue your stroll to SeaPort Village for shopping and dining. Coronado Island is easily accessible for a relaxing day at a beautiful beach or Mission Bay Beach for enjoying the views under a tree with a good book. The owners, Jim and Robin , could not be more accommodating offering a wonderfully furnished condo at reasonable prices. The whole experience is one we would highly recommend."

  • This is the place to stay!

"This place was clean, comfortable, stylish, and roomy for our family of 4 ( two sons ages 12 and 23). The location is unbeatable, within walking distance to all major attractions. It is a 30 min walk to Balboa Park and even shorter walk to the Gaslamp district (~10 min). We are from NY, we walk everywhere. There is a big bonus- peaceful backyard, where we would dine al fresco when too tired to go out. Also, the security was superior. To top it off we had freshly cut roses in our room and a large library to browse. Thank you, Linda!"

East Village Travel Tips

Stay in the World's Best Climate at East Village Vacation Apartments

The San Diego suburb of Lemon Grove, California boasts one of the country's more interesting roadside attractions, the "World's Largest Lemon." Lemon Grove, as the name would suggest, was once a community that lived off of the fruit of endless rows of lemon trees. While the groves might have moved on to other areas, the huge roadside attraction remains a part of San Diego area lore. The attraction lays claim to the reason that travelers and residents love San Diego, "The Best Climate in the World."

Vacationers should heed the advice of the giant lemon when pondering vacation destinations. The San Diego climate alone offers a reason to venture to Southern California. San Diego remains temperate year round, while rarely succumbing to the extreme summer heat of other destinations. Whether enjoying a cool breeze off of the Pacific Ocean in July or the warm desert air in January, San Diego offers guests tropical temperatures sans the humidity. East Village vacation homes sit amid this ideal environment.

Trendy Neighborhood and Fine Dining

While the climate cannot be beat, San Diego also offers fine dining and entertaining night life options. East Village vacation apartments offer guests access to a trendy neighborhood. The East Village was once populated by warehouses, but it is now one of the most diverse and attractive communities in San Diego. East Village vacation apartments provide vacationers with the opportunity to experience the best that this district offers.

New Construction and an Emerging District

The Padres have played in the East Village at Petco Field since 2004, which helped the neighborhood to unlock its potential. Rooftop bars, boutique shops and dining for every taste now line the streets. Take a peek at the options that East Village vacation homes offer guests and check out the San Diego vacation rentals for yourself.
