  • An amazing experience. No surprises. Had everything we needed and more. Will come back.

"This was our first experience on VRBO so we were hesitant. This is a great place to say and its priced right. Communication from this owner was superb and we had no confusion, no surprises. The unit was very clean, quiet, security gate, just overall enjoyable. We rented a car so having the garage was awesome. The owners are friendly and accessible (we didn't have any issues or questions but they were around if you needed them). Had a few nice chats with them and if you needed info about the neighborhood or touristy stuff they were very happy to help find what you needed. There were several units in the building and all clients are very good, quiet, friendly, etc. The Golden Hill Café was pretty cool, very retro but great food, great price, super friendly staff and less than a block away. A nice bakery and small grocery place for everything you need. Highly recommend this place and although we like to try different places we would be back here the next time we are in San Diego."

  • Great place to rent in the gaslamp area

"Me & my girlfreind rented this place for a quick getaway to SD over memorial weekend. The description of the place is fairly accurate, as it is in the heart of the gaslamp district & within walking distance of everything there is to do (restaurants, clubs, shopping, etc...). it is well kept & has everything you need in the kitchen & the bathroom is very clean. It is in a secure building that includes parking which is a plus to have in the gaslamp. Overall, we highly recommend this place. Our only concern is the standard check out time at 10 am, which is a bit early in the day."

  • A gem!

"Excellent location within walking distance of restaurants and entertainment! The beautifully decorated home is immaculate and well-outfitted with top-notch appliances. The outdoor spaces were also tranquil and relaxing: water fountain, grill, outdoor patio. The owners are very personable and had great recommendations for dining and sightseeing. Would definitely stay here again!"

  • beautiful spanish bungalow in ideal location

"My husband and I stayed in this adorable rental last weekend. I know the property well and even considered buying it the last time it was for sale. The owners have done a wonderful job restoring this property. It is simply charming. The kitchen is gorgeous and light filled; it has everything one needs and more. The bathroom is bright and spotless. Furnishings are tasteful, and the garden area is tidy. For those who want to explore urban San Diego, there is no better part of the city in which to stay. You can walk to Balboa Park (with the SD Zoo and all the municipal museums), countless "foodie" restaurants and bars, as well as many adorable shops. Downtown is 2 minutes away; Coronado is about 10 minutes away, and some of the best beaches are 15 minutes away. Enjoy :)"

Marina Travel Tips

Admire San Diego from Marina Vacation Apartments

San Diego is a premier vacation spot; a tropical haven most days of the year. With Marina vacation apartments, visitors can make San Diego their home for a bit and truly immerse themselves in all that this sunny city has to offer. Plus, renting a private property from Marina vacation apartments means being able to choose from a variety of properties: everything from luxury yachts to downtown lofts (based on availability). Booking a property with Marina vacation homes lets vacationers see San Diego from an insider's perspective.

Spend a Blissful Day in Balboa Park

Though San Diego may best be known for its alluring beaches and perfect ocean waves, there is also a little jewel found just miles from downtown San Diego. Historic Balboa Park is located at 1549 El Prado and is home to everything from the acclaimed San Diego Zoo and San Diego Museum of Art to the internationally celebrated Old Globe Theatre and much, much more! There are also beautiful gardens and miles of trails to explore, not to mention the seasonal activities held in the park, like "Screen on the Green," or "December Nights."

Spend an Entertaining Evening in the Gaslamp Quarter

The Gaslamp Quarter in downtown San Diego is also of historical and cultural significance to both locals and visitors. These days, renting a property with Marina vacation homes affords visitors the time to stroll around the Gaslamp Quarter and discover its world renowned cuisine. For instance, Searsucker (located at 611 5th Avenue) is the brainchild of Brian Malarkey, a contestant on season 3 of Bravo's "Top Chef."

Though having a romantic night in is definitely an option when booking a stay with San Diego vacation rentals, fashionable nightclubs abound in the Gaslamp. Night owls and early birds alike will feel at home in San Diego!
