  • a week in San Diego

"My husband and I, who live in a small town in Florida, really like California. We chose the Carriage House for our stay in San Diego because of the colors! It turned out to be just right for a relaxing, romantic get-away (from our pets!) Everything in the house is carefully chosen--from the nice closet to the tiles and the warm fan in the bathroom to the perks in the kitchen (like aluminum foil). My favorite thing was the lighting, which you could ix and match for whatever mood you were in. You could also watch movies and play music on the tv. And the neighborhood is lovely. Be sure to take Suzanne up on her restaurant suggestions! I walked everywhere!"

  • Perfect Vacation Pad

"My husband and I stayed at this beautiful home for five nights and we were sad to leave it. Of all the vacation rental homes we've enjoyed around the country, this one is now at the top of our favorites list. The friendly, quiet neighborhood location was perfect for hanging out on the beautiful back porch reading, bird watching, doing yoga, entertaining friends, grilling a delectable dinner that could be purchased within a couple of blocks at a number of wonderful grocery stores or from the local farmer's market. Besides enjoying the Hillcrest and Mission Hills neighborhood shops and restaurants, we walked to the amazing Balboa Park and ventured south/west to the ocean. The home is in a perfect location for those seeking a local experience with ease of access to a variety of adventures on foot, bike, or vehicle. Kent is a fantastic property manager who was friendly and available if and when we had any questions or concerns. That being said, we didn't have any concerns because the home is in perfect condition and has all of the amenities you could ever need, and then some. We enjoyed using the beautiful and well-stocked kitchen for meal preparations. The master bedroom is dark, comfortable, and quiet at night. The master bathroom shower is spacious and inviting after a day of hiking near the ocean or running in the nearby Balboa Park. There were only two of us, but the house is designed to suit four people very comfortably with two bedrooms and baths. The owners definitely have a gem of a San Diego home that we highly recommend as a vacation rental. Thanks for providing such a perfect vacation pad for our first San Diego visit."

  • Wonderful Mission Hills

"We enjoyed our stay in Judy's house. The location is perfect for sightseeing, and Mission Hills itself is wonderful: lots of great restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The house is unique in having 3 big queen-sized rooms so nobody feels short-changed. Traffic noise and airport noise were negligible. The beds were good quality and comfortable. The TV room was great and fully equipped. The rent is good value given the location and living space. This is the first time we have rented a house which is the owner's primary home, which makes the house very comfortable to live in. We were grateful for Judy's generous encouragement to make use of pantry staples, extra towels, etc. The laundry facilities were a blessing. Overall, this was more like house-sitting than a pristine management-company rental. Some appliances are older and a little quirky. One bathtub is dated and needs renovation."
