"A lovely 4 bedroom and 3 FULL bath condo. There was plenty of space for me, my husband, our adult daughter, her baby AND our two weimareiners (dogs). We easily could have had a few more people and still been very comfortable. The unit is comfortably furnished, although the common areas furniture is a bit worn. The beds are newer and very comfortable. The kitchen is spacious and has all you need to cook full meals. This is an older condo, but it has been updated from a decor standpoint. Certain fixtures and features (like the old showers and cords everywhere) show the actual age of the unit.
The views can't be beat, and the location is an easy walk to either the ocean or the bay. It was great entertainment to simply sit and watch the activity on the waterway. The only downside to the location is the almost constant noise from planes taking off from the nearby airport. It wasn't an issue for me but made sleeping difficult for my light-sleeper hubby. Also -- bring a sleep mask -- the bedrooms get very light as soon as the sun is up.
Lots of nice beach toys and gear to enjoy a day in the sun. You don't need to bring any extras.
Overall, a great experience!"

"Our family just spent a week at 838 Queenstown Court. It was absolutely perfect for our big group! We had 4 generations and everyone was happy.
This was our first time to rent a beach house. I realized I was going to have to decide between size or being directly on the beach. I opted for size and I am very grateful that I did because the beach was much closer than I expected! Upon exiting the gate you can turn right for a short walk to the beach. It is a straight shot and a very easy walk. There is only one street to cross and that was never a problem. If you exit the gate and turn left you are a very short walk around the corner of the next building and you are at the bay. We had the bay beach to ourselves each time we went there. The kids took the kayak out and had a great time. There were plenty of boogie boards, lawn chairs, an umbrella, bikes, coolers, life jackets, and an abundance of towels.
We spent quite a bit of time inside visiting. The house is set up so that you can be spread out on all three levels but still feel together. It is very open yet allowed those who wanted privacy places to get away.
There were plenty of pots and pans and cooking utensils. There is a dishwasher and trash compacter and a big refrigerator with a water dispenser. The stove/oven was great. We cooked most of our meals there and the kitchen was very well equipped. The little things that we needed were available at the two little stores less than a block away. For groceries we went to Ralph's. It is walkable but we usually chose to drive.
We had two vehicles: a Jeep and a Sentra. We were able to park them in the spaces provided. When we had guests they parked about a block away in the parking lot at the bay.
This was the perfect vacation spot for us. I figured out immediately that I would not want to be right on the beach with people looking in our windows and having people right outside all of the time. This spot was private and we didn't have to worry about things being stolen from the yard.
Another great feature was the outdoor shower. It was perfect for sand removal before entering the house. A little sand still made it in on occasion but it was easy to sweep right back out.
Our next family vacation to San Diego will be in this same house if it's available. Kitty was so patient and easy to work with. As a first time renter I had lots of questions and she was very prompt in getting back to me. We are looking forward to coming back!"

"This condo was just right for our family of seven and provided a perfect spot for our spring break getaway. You just can't beat the location as it is close to shops, an easy walk to the Cove, and a quick drive over to La Jolla Shores. Parking is underground and it is a bit of a pain to lug everything up and down the stairs. We actually had to unload some bags from the rooftop basket on our car since the clearance in the garage is so low. It was a minor inconvenience and when we got inside we found the condo to be even more spacious than we imagined and the layout perfect for our family. We used both king sized beds, the blow up mattress, and the pack and play and had plenty of room for everyone to spread out.
The communication from the time we booked until we checked out was great. The owner was responsive and we received our damage deposit back in a very timely manner. Everyone in our family had a great time and we all agreed that we would be back again. Thanks for the great stay!"
