"This was our second extended stay at this great home and we thoroughly enjoy it. It is extremely well maintained and equipped and the owners are a joy to work with. Always available if you have questions or problems (which we didn't) but respect your privacy as well. The outdoor living spaces are amazing especially in the winter if you are from the North! The location could not be more convenient for restaurants, shopping, grocery stores etc. The neighborhood is very quiet - no noise issues ever. Had friends and family visit during our stay and all were impressed. Just a great place to stay and really hope to return."

"We rented this place for a month in early January because my husband was having surgery at UCSD. I booked it in the fall and was told it was being remodeled and asked repeatedly for pictures and never got them. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The owners did a great job on the remodel and it's decorated tastefully. The kitchen is well stocked, although a few of the kitchen tools broke when we used them the first time (we replaced them). The bedrooms are good sized and there is tons of storage (the Master Bedroom carpet is "spotty" and looks like there have been pet stains) The TV's have 4 remotes which is too much in my opinion. I would have rated it a 5, but I'm docking it because of the experience we had the property mgr.
*she dropped the price immediately when I told her I wanted to rent for a month (by $2-3K as I recall)
*she gave us a bouquet of flowers & wine when we arrived
*repeatedly promised to send pictures of the remodel before we arrived and didn't
*brought people to view the property without telling me the day my husband was released from hospital. We let them look in, but asked them to come back since he had just gotten there and was still very uncomfortable. Then, she took then around back and they were peaking in through the windows - really uncool.
*my biggest gripe is the way the departure and security deposit were handled. She knew the day we were departing and was unresponsive via phone and text. I had a 10+ hour w/an ill husband and 2 pets to deal with and had no one to give the keys to. By 10, we finally left and I ended up taking a key with me. I forgot about it and mailed it several weeks later expecting my full deposit back since I went out of my way to clean the house before we left. A partial check arrived with no explanation of why $250 was missing. I asked for pics and an explanation & she claimed there was pet damage. I was dinged for dirt/dog poop on the outside porch (tile) and some close-up spot that doesn't even look like it is in their apartment. My pets didn't do it!
Why have I waited so long to write this? My hubby just had his check-up and we won't need to rent the place again. Overall, great place. Watch out for your deposit!
The view of the ocean was great and it was fun to watch all the people coming and going in the beach parking lot below."

"My wife and I stayed in the Earl condo for a couple of months each year for the past four years during the winter. We found it a great place to stay because it was in an excellent location with easy access to highways and stores and attractions. Solana Beach has a "small town" feel to it despite it's southern California location. The condo itself is very comfortable, clean, all appliances work and the deck is wonderful. The sun shines on the deck almost all day, plus in the winter you can watch the sun go down over the ocean. Beach access is very close. We found that Bari Earl, the owner, was extremely attentive if we ever had any problem with an appliance or a leaky faucet, etc. This did not happen often but any issues were dealt with immediately. I would highly recommend this unit to any visitor to the area. It will work well for couples or families with children."

"We had a wonderful experience here. Cute, quiet place to stay with everything you need for eating in which we did a lot. Family friendly and well maintained. It is also within walking distance of lots of places and the beach. Great location. The owner was great to work with too!"
