"What a wonderful cabin in the woods! It is secluded, quiet and wonderfully appointed. All you need is the food. Sitting on the patio watching the forest animals and sound of birds was so relaxing. An excellent escape from reality."

"This was a perfect spot for my husband and me. Most of what San Diego has to offer is either right out the door or easily accessible by car. Our young granddaughter had a beautiful beach and playground on the Bay side and my son-in-law had surfing 5 minutes away. Most of all, we enjoyed biking around the area with the bikes provided by the owner. The property is well equipped inside and out for being active and making yourself at home. I missed my sharp knives from home but that seems pretty trivial."

"Excellent location: right on the beach, walking distance to a grocery store (with a good enough organic selection) and a pharmacy. We felt very safe with 4 kids, ages ranging between 2-7 y.o. We could have selected a similar property on the bay, 3 blocks away, but having a wonderfull view of the ocean and access to the ocean was a great choice.
Ron was easy to deal with. I also felt comfortable giving him my credit card number, in part because his office is indeed within a few blocks away.
We found it benefitial brining our own down pillows. Otherwise the property has all the basic nessesities.
We would consider coming back next year."

"Our Mission Beach vacation was great for our family of 4. The house was located on the Bay side, which was much quieter with less foot traffic than the beach side, but sill close to everything you need including shops, grocery, entertainment, and spectacular views. Overall, we had an amazing time at the house and truly enjoyed ourselves. Here are some of the pros and cons we experienced with the house in particular.
- Perfect Location
- Incredible View
- Grass area in front of house was great for smaller kids
- Quieter than beach side
- The house was fully stocked
- Large rooms overall
- Washer and dryer (definite PLUS with kids)
- Great family room with HUGE windows
- Great kitchen
- Very responsive management company (Bluewater)
- Convenient entry (keypad) - We never had to track down keys :)
- No AC (Granted, most of the year you don't need it. We happened to come the week you needed it)
- No ceiling fans, only box fans
- No good cross-ventilation upstairs for hot days
- Parking is bad, garage too small of a golf cart
- Not baby friendly - stair rails are wide and baby can fall through
- No door on master bedroom, more of a loft
Bluewater vacations staff were quick to follow up with anything we needed during our entire stay. We will definitely use them to find another house in the future. Will also consider staying at this house again, just not during the hot weeks in San Diego."
