Excellent location and accommodations. Great dealings with owner. Highly recommended.
"Our stay at the River House was terrific. We had 5 days which went by all too quickly.
We visited many of the local wineries and had excellent food and truly great experiences.
The river house was great for playing games and relaxing after a hard day of being a tourist. The hot tub was nice and my only regret is that I did not go kayaking enough. The scenery down the river is spectacular.
The state park, just a few miles from the house has spectacular views of the ocean and is a must see point of interest.
It is hard to describe how beautiful the area is, but we have walked away in awe of the scenery and pristine landscape.
The house itself had everything we needed and all dealings with Kelly were easy and professional. I highly recommend this place and feel it was perfect for our needs."

"My sisters and I stay at the Castle House at least every other year. We keep coming back for the 180-degree- views of the beach and ocean. Sit on the couch that hugs the walls of the turret-shaped living room and see the ocean all around you. The spacious decks provide wonderful views of the water, separated from your front door only by sand! Bedrooms are cozy, and the dining room is a great place for family games. Surfers, beach combers, honeymooners and dog lovers (the county side of the beach allows dogs) will love this place!"

"We had a group of eight people who wanted to spend time together for our nonprofit board retreat. The house was perfect for the group. We got to use the kitchen to cook our own meals, used the kayaks to row up and down the river, and spent a good amount of time in the living room conducting meetings. The bbq grill was great! The river and redwood trees were good distractions from our meetings.
The space was big enough to accommodate a large group. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a weekend getaway. We would stay here again in the future if we decide to hold a meeting in the area."

"Hosts Kathy and Ken have the formula for treating guests well on their property. Once arriving at their cottage, we were greeted and provided with useful information about the place and its surroundings (and a bottle of wine and a chocolate cake). After that, other than another small surprise of home-grown tomatoes, we were left alone in the quiet, charming cottage until, sadly, it was time to leave. The place was very clean and comfortable, equipped with everything needed to cook or relax (kitchen, sitting area, outdoor seating with a fountain). Sharing no walls meant privacy and quietness throughout our stay. Driving to restaurants, shopping, and supermarkets takes only 5-10 minutes. Sebastopol is located close to the Sonoma Coast, the Russian River, redwood, pine, and oak forests, wineries, world-class cycling, and water sports. This is a perfect place to stay for couples seeking quiet evenings and active or lazy days. We would definitely come back as this would be our first choice if visiting the area again."
